Anybody else think him playing in the hole this season has probably strengthened our position to keep him? Obviously Everton fans know what a talent he is and how brilliantly he is as a CM/DM (box to box) so I was just thinking that he doesn't fit many teams as an ACM

    Man united - Kagawa, Rooney
    Chelsea - Three maestros
Arsenal - don't need him anyway

The only team that I could see coming in for him would be PSG but I don't think he'd fancy a move to a worse league despite the money.

If he played in the centre of midfield, then he'd be more than useful in Chelsea's and united's current side.

So all in all lets hope SAF and Abramovic have stopped seeing him as a CM <ok>

You make a great point mate, but someone will still come in & pay top dollar for him, thinking he'll be as influential playing in a deeper role.

A bit like when Madrid bought Tommy G thinking he was a DM, they should have bought Carsley!

I'd be gutted to lose him but on the other hand IMO It would have to be for 30m which could be re invested wisely by moyes<ok>

Roumours are that he is fat Franks replacement at Chelsea. Moyes could do a lot with 22mil or whatever you would get for him.

People horribly overrate his importance. Better Fellaini than Baines in my opinion.

I think he's important for the bigger games against the likes of United, City, ourselves etc.

I'd take them both in a heartbeat as replacements for Cole and Lamps.

Could be, but if you asked me whether I'd rather keep Darron Gibson or Fellaini then I'd pick the former. There's far more important players who don't get the attention they deserve. They might not be as gifted as Fellaini but they're more important to the team.

I'm expecting Fellaini to leave in the summer, Baines will likely end his career here.

There's no buy out clause as far as I've been told.

It was rumoured to be there when he signed his new deal (£26M) but someone who knows better than me, has said that's incorrect

Mate, don't you know that when the papers talk about our players leaving its 100% true but when it's about Suarez leaving its all lies. Boyhood red don't you know.

very true but I think Gibson's rep at United gets the better of him sometimes. Agree with Baines being your most important though.

I think Fellaini is better in the pivot to be honest than ACM, I think he'd do well for you. However I think if it's up to the player then he'll want United before Chelsea.

The papers get so much wrong when it comes to EFC, largely because not much gets out of the club & so they're forced to make **** up! They had Victor joining Reading yesterday <doh>

Fellaini will go in the summer imo, but I agree with you, that Baines is more crucial to us anyway & he'll stay.

I think he gets sent off every other game for Crawley too.I was livid when I heard the news about Anichebe to Reading!

I don't know why anyone really truly believes in what the papers say, why would any club release that sort of information? (except if 'Arry is your manager)

Dunno about clubs releasing details regarding release clauses, but an agent who helps get the contract sorted, and who has a vested interest in having his player move clubs as many times as possible, certainly would, ask Newcastle.
