Evening all, seeing as though our board is quiet, i thought i would create a debate about this, there's been so many great games under fergie, its hard to choose, but me personally, it has to be the Manchester derby of the 09/]1o0 season, it swung our way then the there way, it was like a rollercoaster, i remember Foster being in goal that day, but i will always remember that Owen goal.

The 99 European cup final hands down. Watching it back still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I remember watching that game at 0-1 with 5 minutes to go and I was still confident we would win. In so many games that season we had looked down and out, but had come back from the dead. In the Cup against Liverpool, we came back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 late on, then we overcame Arsenal with 10 men in extra time. We even beat Juventus in Turin having been 2-0 down. Like with Chelsea in last seasons CL, our name was on the all 3 trophies that season, and no matter what the circumstances we were going to win
It was a great match and the last minutes were just incredible. I felt the match had gone. The germans were already celebrating... I had a buzz for days and weeks...
yeah that day was just great. I still get goosebumps watching that. i even thought the game was over, when we scored the equalizer it was great relieve feelings, my home went mad celebrating but then we got another corner, i had a good feeling about it and thought this could be our day and had believe we would score, then we did! brilliant game, a game i would not forget. 2008 champions league final was also great feeling too, funny how in football things can change just in a mater of minutes, one minute, we see john terry walking confidently up to take the penalty, i thought he was going to score, still remember the buzz and relieve when he missed and when Van Der Sar saved Anelka's penalty. another match comes to my mind is Ferdinand's goal against Liverpool, Gary Neville's celebration was class, its always a great feeling to win against the scouser's but it was even better when we scored in the last minute to break their hearts and also the match where O'shea scored the winning goal, that was special too because that was a crucial victory in our title race,
Impossible. You are not banned, ergo our board can not possibly be quiet. The '99 final for me, by a long way.
Obviously the 99 final. Some other games that will live long in the memory - Spurs away - when we were down at half time, Villa at home - MMAAAACCCCHHHHHEEEDDDAAAAAAAAA , Arsenal in the FA cup semis with Giggsy wonder goal and funny as **** celebration. Basically the whole knock stages of the 99 CL, Inter and especially Juve away, proper Italian job
Hard to say on those watched on TV as there are so many absolute blinding performances from Fergie's teams. My top six matches that I was actually at are; 1999 ECL Final Barcelona, United 2 - 1 Bayern, for obvious reasons even though for 85 minutes it was utterly **** and one of the worst matches I sat through. 1991 ECWC Final Rotterdam, Barcelona 1 - 2 Man United, as excellent for the week stay in Amsterdam as it was for winning the first european trophy by an English club since the ban was lifted. 1994 FA Cup final Wembley, United 4 - 0 Chelsea, sealing the first double, Eric at his imperious best 1993 Premier league Old Trafford, United 2 - 1 Sheffield Wednesday, the kick start to breaking the title duck and the beginning of Fergie time. 1993 Premier league Maine Road, Man City 2- 3 Man United, two nil down at half time and out strides Eric. We knew we would win and City knew we would win. ****ing magic. 1991 League Cup Highbury, Arsenal 2 - 6 Man United, used to travel all over in those days and this was a Wednesday night down at Highbury and we hammered them with a beautiful Lee Sharpe hat trick.
Not going for the obvious but:- Newcastle 3 - Utd 6 I was going on holiday that day and remember forcing the missus to pull into a pub to watch the 2nd half. Whenever I hear about teams playing with an interchangeable front 3 I'm reminded of this game. Commentator on the radio was confused as we had Van. Nist, Scholes, Giggs & Solksjaer swapping positions with only Van Nist as the front man. Also cos Scholes's hatrick!!
Oh Yeah!! Jenas with a rocket and Shearer(think). I was worried about goal difference when he scored.
