http://www.examiner.co.uk/huddersfield-town-fc/huddersfield-town-news/2013/01/08/86081-32562223/ ... hmmm .. I bet they were pig sick when our name came out tbh ... been confirmed that Beckford can't play against us in the tie (shame really because I'd have enjoyed big Wes showing him what sulky boys get) ... anybody heard what our allocation is yet?
Not arrogance. It's only a week since we put 6 past them so you wouldn't think it's the draw they were hoping for.
As Freddy says, I don't think there is any arrogance - .. they have just bounced back from a run of 10 games without a win care of a 1-0 cup win at Charlton where the goal was scored by an on loan striker from, guess where? .. following straight on from a 6-1 score line at our place and not that long after a 2-0 win at their place where Knockaert scored 2 outrageous goals (he also got another 2 in the 6-1 ... now ideally they would probably have wanted a big prem club at home in the draw ... but what did they get instead? .. the one club that their most potent goal threat can't play against and who have already beaten them twice this season with a goal difference of 8-1 .... if I'd been in their shoes I know I'd have been pig sick with such a draw. So no arrogance intended - just pointing out that fate can be a bitch. Having said all of that, they are probably a home banker!
... I'll have you know Larry is still warmly remembered in these parts OLM .. indeed it was his semi-final goal (at Sehurst park) that took us to our first cup final since 1969 ... more interestingly, what do you base your 'rooster' analogy on?
Huddersfield aren't worried because they have no pressure on them plus they know we have to play Cardiff a few days after so we will play a weaker side then the one that put 6 past them.
He supports Leeds for starters. Both his Huddersfield and Leeds teams play/played horrible hoofball. And he smells of wee.
Would you want to play a team that beat you 2-0 and 6-1? Anthony Knockaert has teared them to shreds twice. Both Knockaert and Chris Wood have both scored 4 goals against them this season
Id rather win in the cup - its a long season and the cup is fun, plus no shame losing away at cardiff.
I fancy us at Cardiff - they will have to come at us rather than sitting back and countering and our flair players could then cause them some problems - if we had had our current conversion rate on chances when we played them at The Walkers we would have won comfortably ... lets hope Mr Woods has his shooting boots on for that ganme.
I'd rather us getting automatically promoted - cup runs are fun enough but if the likes of Schmeichal get injured, we'd be in a very bad spot. Pretty much every other position we have decent cover except GK. We need either a youngster with potential or a old hand as cover - with Logan we have neither as evidenced by his complete lack of game time in the past few years.
Keepers you just loan as soon as your number 1 gets injured, regardless if its in or out the window. The league never seem to mind.
Keepers you can pretty much loan all season round aslong as you have injuries our suspensions in that position. You cant loan a keeper outside the windows because your number 1 is a bit crap
What if Schmiechal was injured during a warm up - we wouldn't be able to loan anyone so would have to make do with Logan and I have no trust in his abilities. We need someone here at this moment - who, I have no clue but someone better then Logan.
Logan's on ok keeper. The big plus with him is that he's happy to be back up without causing a fuss. That said, I wouldn't want him in goal for a prolonged period.
.. I'm led to understand that, under a rather obscure sub-clause within the existing rules, we are entitled to call on his father to step in on a temporary replacement basis
