Ronaldo outscored him last season, and still didn't win it. I did think Messi deserved it this season though, as he did break the goals in a calendar year record. I don't see anyone getting near that record again any time soon. Messi seems to be a far more likeable guy than Ronaldo. Ronaldo is flash, cocky and arrogant, were as Messi is far more humble. I think this has counted against Ronaldo in years were it had been close between the pair
Ronaldo would have won more if he was ugly and didnt have a shot on one of the cardashians or what ever you call those fat ****s. Its that simple He basically has it all and people hate him for it cocky or not. Are those reasons valid, not liking the guy? He's not the only player to miss out on that point. Suarez will find it impossible to win any awards. Drogba was head and shoulders above Rooney for player of the year yet Rooney won it when Drogs even finished top scorer and Rooney scored a lot of penos in his tally
