Every team is at it; from pulling shirts to claiming for throws/corners that you know aren't yours to diving to elbows to cynical fouls etc, surrounding the ref utd style, blocking runs.....etc, etc.... The game is more about doing anything to gain a competitive advantage than nearly anything else these days......referees have allowed the rules of the game to become twisted and every team looks to stretch the boundaries.....LFC are no better or worse than every other team..... So why then do we make headline news every time a certain mr. Suarez does something that a Paul Scholes has done countless of times....or a Gareth Bale does every week it seems? As far as I can see, it's a witch hunt; with nearly all of the press favouring British born players over Suarez....a foreign player. The same press who cried for blood over the racism issue..... English journo's are nothing more than lazy gutter rats, always looking for a story that isn't there; sensationalizing stories and favouring players and managers who give them what they want......in return, they are more than happy to publish articles to help their confidants gain favour.....or in other words, help them gain advantage, perhaps on the pitch....= cheating!!?? We've seen it in the phone tapping scandal; we see it in the football headlines every day; They should be licensed and have it removed if they write made up tripe.....only then would we get some decent neutral journalism. Am not holding my breath.....
Just maybe it is because Mr Suarez seems it to be impossible to keep out of the cheating headlines for more than two games?
No he doesn't, he understands your point very well. He just believes that the world really needs his attempt at a little devilment. Sad really
You are right. Suarez is always in the headlines. I think that there is more uproar because it was Mansfield. Had it been Chelsea or city you were playing against, there would have been significantly less vilification. The Brits have soft spot for the underdog. Suarez has picked on the wrong team.
Watching everton game and will anyone say anything about the dirtiest player I have ever seen live, for bending over and backing into a lower league teams player, Jon Champion said it was a harsh penalty but did not comment on how dirty Fellani ? Is, strange that
Underdogs have a soft spot for the underdog. Which is what most of us fans are. I love it when these teams manage a great result, was cheering havent when they came to Anfield. Why, the win means 5 million times more to the smaller club. Oooohh careful now, down with that sort of thing, am I disrespecting someone, hard to avoid it these days
Clutching at straws guys mentioning Fellaini etc and the way he and others plays to try and make Suarez's cheating seem ok... After watching the incident a few times I must admit at first I thought It was accidental but then I noticed his arm clearly moving toward the ball and clearly having a grin about It afterwards...Dont go on about the dirtiest player you have seen live being Fellaini most teams supporters surely would not agree with that?Shawcross etc? You have clearly Wengered much of what Suarez gets up to funny how Its only your fans that choose to do so?
I think the point being made; and I've seen some non Liverpool fans/journalists make it today is that you can't be selective about being moralistic regarding cheating. That's hypocritical. Either all breaches of the rules is "cheating" and should be equally condemned or we accept that breaches both accidental & deliberate happen in a game which is after all why games are officiated. You also have to accept that officials will miss or get occasional decisions wrong. All players do it in some way. All teams benefit & suffer from from it. So, while I personally agree with you regarding Fellaini not being the worst, (I'd have gone with Huth personally) he does seem to deliberately break the rules in the same manner repeatedly. Why is this seen by you as more acceptable than Diving or Handballs? Could it be down to the same bias you call LFC fans on? Why is pulling players shirts/holding players in place by defenders for example (our two CB's are some of the worst offenders by the way) seen as "part of the game" and commentators usually follow that up with "there'd be 20 penalties a game if the ref called a penalty every time. Yet the same commentators will whine on about diving not just at the time but for the next few games they see that same player in? Preventing a striker from scoring is cheating that team is it not; since you can't win a game if you can't score? Why is Suarez clearing it off the line with his hand to keep his team in the WC abhorrent but a last man foul where the defender scythes down a forward racing towards goal in the last few minutes seen as heroically "taking one for the team"? (I can't remember the famous specific example of this but maybe someone else does? Both players received red cards, missed the next match of the comp but one is talked about as a betrayal of an entire continent the other well, I can't even remember the players name can I? And who decides what is cheating? The ref through the 4th official said he saw the incident & decided it was accidental. So either people need to accept this decision, call the ref incompetent or say he's bent. All of which (unless you can prove Liverpool paid him) absolves Suarez of responsibility. That's not blinkers mate that's the rules of the game. You don't like it, don't watch it.
So no mention of Neville and his views right before his worst dive of the year winning dive? What did you think of that? How about Bale and his collection of yellows for simulation, we know what you think of Suarez, what about Scholes and his hand of zod? What do you think of him? You want to go on about missing drug tests, attacking fans, taking cocaine, nazi salutes screwing team mates wives (Not Terry btw) Seriously nasty non football tackles and elbows stamping on players on the ground. Tell us how all of those incidents and the offenders rank in your villain pecking order You failed to pipe up on all of that but NOW you pipe up when a player accidentally handles a ball. If you can't see your own blinkered selective morality then god bless you. Add to that you probably have been dishonest at some point in your life, yet you go on about this Take a good look at yourself in the mirror and cringe
Very well put Dirty frank that is the exact point, and also dont get me wrong but if RVP does it to us in the last minute this week I will be livid but not at RVP, more at the officials. Personally I think that many of the rules are slightly out and refereeing in general needs sorting. Stop the vilification of Suarez and LFC and direct your anger toward the rules and officials that enforce them as that is where the system failed Mansfield.
Unfortunately, it's something that Suarez will have to put up with. No matter how well he plays, or how well behaved he is (as he has been over the paster couple of months), he will always be villified by the media for any small thing he does. This is proven by the events on Sunday which involved a simple unintentional handball. At the end of the day, the media will continue to do this so we might as well accept it. But word of warning - Luis was getting an immense amount of stick earlier in the season but he played some remarkable football. He thrives on this attention.
Dirty Frank you are bang on... But Im not being selective at all just that I chose not to list all the "rule benders" at that particular time of course Im not that blinkered to think theres only Suarez that does It ? More of a pop at why compare Fellaini to Suarez? It seems Everton always has to be dragged Into somthing like this when LFC fans start defending Suarez etc (or Man U) I have already said on here Suarez Is a cracking player and I have also said he doesnt half let himself down also and although I dont believe he deserves the media slating he always gets I do believe he tries the so called dirty stuff more than any player I have seen In the prem (Hand balls sly kicks etc etc) As for who decides on cheating etc you say this... You don't like it, don't watch it The same goes for Liverpool fans bleating about decisions for other teams aswell In particular Man Utd (Who aparently have paid officials In their pocket)... So what If I say Suarez's goal In the derby was offside then? That the officials decision was correct thats what they saw so unless you can prove they were bent (Everton dont have money to pay them lol) Thats the rules of the game You don't like It?, don't watch It? Different then Isn't It.... (I know It was onside though BTW)
Just because I didnt mention some of the things you bleat on about above does not mean I am oblivious to them you plank It just means I chose not to write them at the time I posted you Just assume so as for the rest of your personal attacking post not worth a reply really... Take a look In the Mirror and laugh...
