Various places in France reporting that QPR have bid €8 mil for M'Vila but, despite Rennes wanting rid, they are holding out for €10 mil.
England defender Joleon Lescott has said he has "no desire" to leave Manchester City during the January transfer window.
M'Vila for £7m? Jesus christ that's a bargain and a half. He's had attitude problems but he's incredibly talented, a year ago people were talking about Real Madrid playing £25m for him. Under the right manager he could be top class. If QPR get him I'd be thoroughly gutted, but then again QPR isn't really an environment to add disruptive but talented players with attitude problems too.
That will go down well with the Chelsea fans! They will be furious, judging by the very loud chants of "sign him up" when he was brought on on Saturday.
Trixter, genuine question: where the **** do West Ham get all their money from? They have been buying everything in sight since I can remember in recent seasons. I know your owners have a few bob, but I always thought they must be pretty budget compared to the American sport franchise owners, Russian oligarchs, Arab Sheikhs, and the, ahem, Swiss JCB tycoons of this world. And even if they don't always get their buy, they're almost always in for players too. What happens to the surplus, and how big is your squad? And is there any (however slight) anxiety about future bankruptcy amongst your fans?
Chelsea is a genuine plaything for one man - no fan power down there at all. Somehow - amongst the piles of silverware - I feel genuinely sorry for them. I have disliked Chelsea since I was a kid, they are my worst club in the top flight, but I can't even muster any real hatred for them anymore. I want to go back to my genuine hatred, that had connections to real humans and contained genuine emotion. It's been snatched away from me. Brutal.
