Leon Best

I'm sorry if someone picked up on this yesterday, but according to the Chronicle Best is available for the final two matches of the season. This is great news and I hope he can start against West Brom and hopefully finish the season with a bang! It says at the end of the following article that he will play a part in the last two games...

Also, who at the start of this season anticipated that we would be absolutely delighted at the fact that Leon Best may be available again and that he would become our star striker?

 

Just shows how much we need a striker or 2 in the summer. Don't think the likes of Shola & Lover have enough about them to get us enough goals to push us up the table and Ranger is just ****, needs to go out on loan and learn how to shoot. Best should be back up at most next season.

 

Wouldn't give him more than half an hour against Chelsea start against West Brom though.

 

Best, Lover, Ranger, Shola, which one of them would get a game for any other Premier League team?

Hmmm, I like the lad, he has a good goals to games record this season, but I'd still be dissapointed if we didn't bring in someone better.

He works hard, gets in decent positions and has started to find the net, but he isn't the type of player who can single-handedly change a game or score from nothing..If we're playing 1 up top, that's what we need!

 

Yeah definately. I can't really see Best as a great impact sub but I think if we are struggling in a game for the breakthrough or trailling then we can bring him on with 40minutes to go. Instead of 25 or the last 10.

Sadly not! I have to go to college on Tuesday and Wednesday nights for 3 hours after a full days work!

 

I really like Best, and I would be happy with him as back up for next season. Not as first choice though, obviously.

either way he's still gonna be a bit of a hero this season in my eyes. I think without him we would've been in a worse position than we are now since AC left.

 

I think maybe we are all writting him off too quickly again we all did this last season and he has surprised us all.
His performances this season have proved that maybe he can be a little more than 3rd choice striker I would love it if he can continue his rapid improvement in the Premier League.

Can't see it though but I would give him a good chance to once again prove himself against the new signings pre season

 

At least Best has improvement in him whereas Shola alas, hasn't.

 

Exactly and he's such a hard worker for the team which meens that even though he's not technically the greatest player he must be a pain in the arse to mark

 

Hopefully he'll grab another goal before the end of the season. Prove his run of form wasn't a flash in the pan.

 

I think Leon Best would get into another team. 6 goals in 10 games wasn't by accident, and he was unlucky not to have a few more.

 

Hope he bags a goal or two but hopefully he doesn't perform so well that Lambsarse thinks we don't need to fork out on two new strikers.
