Tractorbhoy like the idea of that formation but as you say I can't see MM going for that, I don't think he's much of a risk taker or an experimenter as I've said this is his biggest strength and his biggest weakness!!

SD I know you were only joking, albeit I do write endless amounts of spiel!!

KOPR as for Smith as captain I can certainly see him growing into the role, although whether he's quite ready for it now I'm not sure given his past of being pretty dire when on low confidence. I'd see no problem with him being captain with Edwards out of the team (which I hope but doubt is a regular occurence) but ideally I think he needs to grow a little more before he can take it full time. That saying like you said Edwards wasn't the ideal captain but was the best out of a bad bunch!!

JWM what formation would that be??

I'd be tempted to pretty much keep the same personel for Cardiff maybe Chambers in for Kisnorbo and N'Daw in for NRC:

    Loach
    Hewitt, Chambers, Smith, Creswell
    Martin, Hyam, N'Daw, Murphy
    Chopra, JET

but I expect MM to go something similar to this:

    Henderson,
    Orr, Kisnorbo, Smith, Creswell
    Edwards, NRC, N'Daw, Martin
    McLean, McGoldrick

Its nice to see that T.Smith is popular again, i thought the early season slating he got was undeserved. As for Jay E Thomas i think Big Mick will work with him and get him playing good football more consistantly, the first few times i saw him last season i thought he was cack but during the second half of the season in the few games i saw he was Brazilliant so imo its to early to right him off, if a player has weaknesses then i think we should be coaching them rather than replacing every 6 months.

Very good point Weighty for too long we've had players coming in and out of the club some neccessarily some not so. I think Mick will try and work with what he's got rather than change it around too much, I think based on his previous record he doesn't change stuff around too quickly!!

Tommy is definately beginning to grow on me and he is growing as a player every game I have seen him play since Burnley so I am happy to eat humble pie! Good on you Tommy and in my book if you're good enough you're old enough. Mick Mills was made Town Skipper at the age of 21 so I have no problems with Tommy getting the armband on a full time basis. This could well be the making of him. I liked the central pairing of Tommy and Kisnorbo on Saturday and I hope that Kisnorbo gets the nod again this Saturday. Chambers still gives me the jitters as a CB! Hewitt should get the nod at RB and as for the midfield I really am in 2 minds over Hyam after Saturday's poor performance. N'Daw should definately start but then the problem is who do you put in the midfield with him? TBH Hyam, Reo-Joker, JET and Martin are not inspiring choices but that's the big problem! We aint got any choices!

I do agree that Nigel mediocre has failed to prove he deserves a longer contract, i did think when we signed him that we would be lucky to keep hold of him now it seems he will be lucky if he stays although i'm sure Mick has it all in hand.

What can I say JWM, I have a strange sense of humour. You can blame it on shows like Bottom and Shooting Stars which are a couple of my all time favourite shows.
