Kenneth out for the rest of the season! Maybe this is a good time for Parkes to step up? No news on any new players though... We are in desperate need of a striker if not 2.. Also someone mentioned on here a midfield player called Yan Klukowski (Forrest green) worth a look?? I hope JW is very busy trying to get some experience into the side before its to late...
Todays scan results confirmed that Kenneth had damaged his anterior cruciate ligament. He will go under the knife on Friday before beginning a nine-month period of rehabilitation Kenneth joins Harrold and Gill who have already both been ruled out for the rest of the season, whilst Virgo and Bevan also remain sidelined long term. JW is now without a right footed senior central defender within his current squad and regarding this, he said: "I've got to have a good look at that. It is a challenge for us and the young players we have here will have to step up to the plate pretty quickly. It is an opportunity for them because the chances of me bringing in another five or six new players are scarce to say the least. We have a financial fair play rule to adhere to and something like 40 per cent of our budget remains on the treatment table and the Football League doesn't take that into consideration. That is a little bit harsh, but those are the rules and I am fine with that."
22 yr old Anderson (defender) from Blackburn Rovers joins Exeter.. That would have been a good addition to the gas!! Why are we not picking up players like this? Come on JW time is ticking!! How about Yan Klukowski? anybody have thoughts about this guy??
striker is his priority and should have 1 signed tomorrow or wednesday. sounds like he wants a defender but is worried about breaking the wage cap. if we do that then we run the risk of having a transfer embargo meaning we cant sign anyone for 12 months meaning we are in deep deep trouble next season or could get a points deduction. sounds like striker he will get and rely on youth to step up and help in defence. i dont think he will go for klukowski as he is a midfielder and sounds like this position is not a concern to ward i not heard about klukowski until i heard on here. sounds good.
Can't see Kenneth playing again for us. Every time an opponent zips past him that knee is going to come under immense pressure, especially given the bulk of the bloke.
It's definitely not a good thing. He's a good leader and made a difference when he arrived. I think we need all the experience we can get at the moment. Far too many games have looked like men v boys this season.
