Id be stunned if anyone voted not Messi. Inesta should never be in there, it's only cos Spain won and the winning country has to have the player of the tournament. Pirlo was much, much better in the summer.
I saw someone on Twitter this morning, suggesting that Bale and Suarez had jointly won the Fallon D'Floor.
Messi has to win really. Shame Pirlo not in the mix he was awe inspiring in the Euros and not much he could do in the final.

Clearly Messi should win it but I'd have Iniesta as 2nd. To suggest Pirlo is better due to his performance at the Euros is totally misunderstanding the purpose of the award. Iniesta has been outstanding all year as has Pirlo, but I personally think Iniesta is better.
Iniesta's one of my favourite players, I love the way the Barca/Spain midfield move around and create chances. But he still isn't Messi is he?

I havn't seen a lot of Pirlo and I imagine most of us haven't but it seems to me like one of those players that the English media go mad about because he did well against us. The ironic thing is he was ignored until then and everyone was going on about Balotelli, turned out he was crap and Pirlo much better so we moved onto him and it seems like it's stuck. I don't see enough foreign football at all to say who should or shouldn't be in a world XI. Surely he wasn't surprised?
