15 million is a good price for him too. De Bruyne and Marin I don't think are going to last, Piazon still has some years, but I see what you are saying.
That similar to the 'players careers only go downhill after leaving Man Utd/Liverpool'. Obviously, there is very few clubs about that would be an improvement! How many players leave a club 'happy'...?
Also, that Mansfield exec looks like a excessively tanned man in a wig: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20921259
It seems both Spurs and Chelsea have this obsession with midfielders now though, when both of them should be focussing on forwards. You can have all the creative players you like but if you've only got 1 player that can score you're a bit screwed.
I can see us ending up with a lot of midfielders. ATM we have Gerrard, Lucas, Henderson, Allen and Shelvey. Plus Sahin on loan. Rodgers wants to add a new attacking midfielder, and I would see we could also do with another defensive midfielder.
Thats 5 CM to go into 3 positions though. I wouldn't say that is an absurd amount? Sahin will definately go back - no way I can see us signing him. Gerrard will hopefully be used more sparingly if we were to get another top class midfielder.
How many of those currently are good enough to push for top 4 though? Lucas and Gerrard...Hendo's improving but not there yet, Allen's ok but needs more work, Shelvey similar.
Napoli had a transfer bid rejected for Sebastian Coates before last night's game. Mazzarri sees him as a replacement for banned P.Cannavaro. If Napoli come back with a loan offer, LFC could consider. Liverpool want to loan Coates out to gauge his consistency at high levels
Seems a top CB to be fair, I think he could go really far. Unfortunately for him, Skrtel and Agger are never going to be sacrificed for him.
I'd rather that happen than him go to Napoli. Nothing against the Italian side (my preferred Serie A team in fact) but going to them would not be as beneficial to Liverpool as Coates going to WBA
