if he doesnt get his finger out in the second half of the Season to be fair he has been limited in game time ;-)
Prozzy is a victim of our success this season. In other seasons he would have had an extended run in the team and that is what he needs most. Unfortunately we can't afford to lose momentum in the promotion race to accommodate him, but in the old days when the reserves played at least once a week he would have been up to speed by now.
He still hasn't much game time with all of Brady, Elmo, Quinn and Aluko on the pitch too. Until he gets the best part of 90 with those I'll reserve judgement.
Exactly, unfortunately I dont think he will get much game time. Still hope he will play his part though
If we're being serious on a joke thread, I really feel he needs to play with a lightning partner who plays off the shoulder of the last defender. Prozzer has shown time and again - like Jay and Koren - that he wants to come deep, find the ball and use it for someone ahead of him. He's like a tall, less ugly Peter Beardsley.
I haven't got exact figures, but for the minutes played his goal ratio is probably not all that bad. As others have said he needs game time, and as Craig in Nottingham said he probably has been a victim of the success of the team so far.
That's essentially what i was getting at. If we do sign FC though I honestly cant see where Koren fits.
Rotation. I don't like Koren up front anyway. He makes some good runs at times but his composure in the box is shoddy (remember when Pearce put him through against Leeds and he just knocked it into the North stand?) and he can't hold it up anything like Aluko and Simpson.
+1 The poor guy is getting crucified on several Hull City boards, and he would be lucky if he had seen 200 minutes of actual game time including the F.A. Cup
I think that those criticising him are really expecting too much. Most of the very best strikers over the years have been good at finding a bit of space in the box and then using it to get a shot or header in. Relatively few have been able to combine this with great skills in other areas of the pitch. As an example, Alan Clarke at his peak really didn't contribute much to the approach play - he saw that his job was to finish moves off and he achieved great success doing just that. Given the relatively poor level of service that has been given to Proschwitz in his short time on the pitch he has done pretty well. In 10 to 15 minutes on the pitch against Ipswich he got great service from Elmo and banged in two good strikers goals. On Saturday he scored a good goal from the first decent cross he received all game having spent the previous 90 minutes having to come back into the middle of the park to link up with our midfield. Also, shortly before scoring, he got a very good strike in that was brilliantly saved by the Orient keeper. I'm firmly in the "no Messerschmitt for Proschwitz" camp and look forwards to seeing him banging in plenty of goals in the future. Incidentally, although he's lost a bit of his early season confidence to try shots, I think that Jay Simpson is looking a real player who should also be steering clear of taxis.
He's too good for this league. Probably taking him too long to adjust to football that is so beneath his level.
Needs a run of games before we can write him off, 10-15 mins here and there, an odd start here and there or a cup game without any service aint going to bring any consistency, Needs a run of 5 games or something alonside the likes of Aluko, Koren , Elmo and Brady as somebody said to see if he can hit some form and consistency, I thought he looked really good against Ipswich but then was quiet against Boro away, then dropped again.
First of all Prozzy isn't the tradional English target man people seem to think, he's more in the mould of a Berbatov or a Ibrahimovic. Likes the ball to feet so he pick out players. He needs to play off someone, but we don't have that kind of forward ATM.
