the ESPN guys really did a "great job" yesterday. no mention of just precisely how bad that pitch was, it was in places that a prem game would be called off or even a rugby scrum would be moved over but that was fine no problem then they accuse suarez of taunting fans when we all know that before every game and after every goal he kisses that wrist where his daughter's name is tatooed. then they put the camera on mansfield's ceo most of the game cos she's a "hottie". this self same female football boss manages to come out with the bizarre "we should have at least" comment. Totally ingoring the fact her side were hammered unttl we stopped trying (shevely should be ashamed for one) what does at least mean to her? they should have won the tie ideally as the ref should have sent 6 LFC players off, given 4 pens and not let the big bad cheat of all cheats rob her side. Then thier keeper is accusing suarez of laughing as he smashed it home (he actually tapped it in and was suprised it was awarded) Finnlly then they say downing commiserated with them and couldn't beleive it... like that then makes it a total cheat... a hard luck there lads is not a you woz robbed by that swine... I think espn and manfield are well suited... amateur hour the pair of them... Me? I hope suarez gets 30 goals and is only remembered for that handball, it'd mean what we think about the english media is totally right.... mind you the daily fail and the mirror have been quite clear that it was not actually deliberate, it was given by the officials and amazingly manfieldw ere not robbed at all.
you said that not me... espn were the ones just hogging her on camera wheras i respect women greatly. she opened her mouth stupidly, at least a replay.. she wants what a walkover... hire a groundsman first and act like a professional club then!
I think Mansfield deserve credit and I would go as far to say they deserved a replay. It's not their fault that we stopped trying. Even if we stopped trying, we should have had enough quality to put the game to bed sooner. Mansfield came out fighting and I applaud them for it. Their tribute to the 96 was class and Paul Cox remained professional and spoke with real class and dignity when interviewed after the match. But I agree that Radford needs to pipe down when she says they were robbed.
That doesn't say much.... I think you need a chill pill MITO - remember it's the "romance" of the FA Cup where the big bad PL clubs torment and rob those poor smaller clubs who can do no wrong. Just convince Suarez to join a monastery, that'll calm the media down
You can tell the United/Liverpool match is coming up Swarbs. You've been in rather mischievous form of late.
I would have no problem welcoming Mansfield to Anfield. The FA won't allow it. I would have preferred a disallowed goal. The officials said goal. By the rules, ball to hand, no mention of hand position in the rules whatsoever. From the behind the goal cam view you can see, Suarez does not even have time to look at where the ball is going let alone control it. I expect Mansfield not to be happy about losing that way to a much bigger club. Unfortunately the rules do not allow for decisions after the game. So what did Suarez do wrong this time. He had been born with a right arm, damn his evil ways Gotta admit, its a new angle blaming Suarez for failings of the officials. He now stays on his feet and has learned a bit of Kop-on so it is just solid proof there is a witch hunt. He will be in no controversy for a year and something will happen and the same auld label will be slapped on him. I would say, Suarez is more decent a chap than everyone on the manc board, especially fistian and certainly a more decent human and dedicated professional than say Swarbs. Yet those all forget their failings whilst passing out their forum judgement So I don't know where they get off slating him.
He's not being mischievous he's spot on. Media are at it but on the two or three reports with comments I have read this morning while trying to find a video of said incident, general view has been he did nothing wrong. Even other strikers are tweeting to leave him alone they would all have taken the gift as well. Noticed for a while now the Suarez stories are not having quite the same support they used to have, they can't even get him to dive now and a ref even broke ranks and gave him a penalty the other week! Still trying to whip it up though and ESPN were disgraceful apparently, so the only option is a monastery for a while or just keep ignoring the bloggers, sorry journalists!
Lol, sorry not sure if your replying to me. I was talking more about Swarbs wording things to catch people thinking he was being narky after a fair few blatant anti Liverpool posts when in fact he wasn't. It worked too! I actually did see his sarcasm and hence agreement. Now go to banter thread where he seems to reverse that opinion. As I said. Mischievous
I've seen horses grazing today on better more playable turf than Field Mill's 'pitch', the local Under 16s got a better surface in their Sunday league matches yesterday too. As for the CEO hottie, meh, will pass.
I watched the highlights programme on ITV and, credit to wee Gordon Strachen, he was having none of the ****e being peddled about intentional and deliberate handball. Said that Luis was being professional, nothing more. It was up to Andre Marriner to decide whether to give the goal or not, not Luis. Having watched the replays over and over again, Luis only reacts after the ball hits him, and only then a 'dejected' punt into the net, as if expecting the flag to disallow it. As for the bullshit over kissing his wrist, how any journo could raise that is beyond me. I assume that they've NEVER seen Luis score before...
