Park Ji-sung insists he has no problem with being stripped of the Queens Park Rangers captaincy. The former Manchester United man returned to the QPR side for Saturday's FA Cup draw with West Brom, but Clint Hill kept hold of the skipper's armband. Park was handed the captaincy by former boss Mark Hughes in the summer, but Harry Redknapp has handed the armband to both Ryan Nelsen and Hill during the South Korean's absence through injury. Park is happy to accept Redknapp's decision and remains committed to the cause. "It's the manager's decision and I'm very happy to go along with that," said Park. "I respect the manager's decision and I don't really care about that. "I am an experienced player so I can help the team with or without the armband. It doesn't matter." Park was making his first start since Redknapp took charge after being dogged by a troublesome knee injury. The game against West Brom was Park's first start in over ten weeks and he believes it will not take long before he is back to full fitness. "It was the first game for me. Chelsea was only five minutes so this is my first game back from injury," added Park. "The 90 minutes will help me and it won't take long. In a few days and a couple of games I can be 100 per cent. http://www.teamtalk.com/premier-lea...blem-with-being-stripped-of-the-QPR-captaincy
Hill and Nelsen are far better Captains, and unless Hoillet, SWP and Granero are all out injured a long time I don't see Park getting too much playing time.
Agree but I'm glad he accepts it. At least he doesn't have big ego. I'd give it to Nelsen for sure but if he leaves then Hill
I honestly think Park has been our worst purchase over the past 12 months given his background. Maybe I expected too much from him.
He and Green are our worst signings the last year for me as well, but I am hoping, though not expecting, that he returns from injury rejuvenated.
Park has been out worst, but Hoilett has been the biggest disappointment for me.....had such a good season with Blackburn previously and has been less than average this season. Really hope helps his game as he is clearly capable and young enough.
