Getting a bit pig sick of the number of knobbers who only have bad things to say about the lad. Granted no one shone yesterday but the number of posts I've seen on here and other forums where people reckon he's "****ing useless", "****e", "useless", "worse than Dave Bamber" (particularly pissed me off that one!) makes me wonder if an increasing number of city supporters are crack addicts. Yesterday he had bugger all service. He spent most of the time with his back to goal in the middle of the pitch hoping the defence would give him a decent pass as our midfield didn't. When we finally got a decent cross into the box, he buried it. If you count the number of decent balls into the box he's had when he's on the pitch, his goals ratio is ridiculous; it's something like 9 balls in, 3 goals, all of which were headers. If we actually had him on the pitch when we had Elmo and Brady putting decent balls in rather than when they've gone off and we have Rossy banging it out of play, he might get us a few more goals. Lets be fair, for all Homer's endeavour, he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a double bass never mind a banjo Rant over...for now until one of teh Prozzyhaters turns up
I still think Proschwitz will come good personally, just needs to be believed in a bit more, he probably still feels like a bit of an outsider and that can't help.
His first goal wasnt a header it was an elmo cross to his feet from about 1 yard out. Far to early to be calling him worthless in my opinion.
Could understand if you had posted this in September or October. If we pay £2.5M for a striker we should see signs of him being able to cut the mustard, don't hate the guy at all and I'd support him same as any other City player if he's on the pitch.
Nothing wrong with that, thats what these forums are for discussing opinions. Not saying he is worthless just that he isn't upto the standard of the rest of the team, which is top 6.
We didn't pay £2.5m, and anyone who says we did is, frankly, wrong. The deal could, in theory, end up £2m plus but he'd have to score so many goals and we'd have to win so many trophies that he'd be worth 10x that much!! Ellewoods - I stand corrected. Point still the same, give him decent service and he's not bad and certainly more prolific than Homer
Dont worry I know you arnt saying that. He certainly has not come close to being worth the amount we paid for him and he is not currently up to a top 6 side I do agree. I only mean he may in the end prove to have some value to the team as opposed to a Simpson for instance who we know his value as he has had enough appearances to make an accurate judge of his value. If we do go up I think he has to be sold or loaned out. Unless he massively improves he is a lower championship striker at best.
I'd like to see him alongside Aluko... that combination can't have happened much? Though at the same time I think Simpson is getting a bad rap as well and I wouldn't like to see him dropped for the sake of it... We're 2nd in the league! They can't be that bad... any of them. But one poor perfomrance/result comes along, even in a different competition and everyone gets so wound up they take it out on the players for a week. As an example, if Cairney was forced into the first team and scored 2 goals and 3 assists in the next 5 games the same people would be praising him on here. It's a form game and people have short memories sometimes. Regardless of how long we've had Proschwitz now, for the amount of time he's spent on the pitch it's too soon to be making statements about if he belongs in the team or not.
Why can't this Wum **** off to his own board, you were a twat when you weren't a mod now you are unbelievable, do one Muppet.
? You did pay 2.6m. http://www.hullcityafc.net/news/article/city-complete-proschwitz-deal-249924.aspx 3.3m Euros = 2.68m Sterling.
If you look back at our transfers in and out since we were relegated from the Prem you'll see that we have more bargain buys than multi million pound flops. £2.6M Isn't that much really is it???
That's what we could end up paying, but we didn't pay that. See my previous comment. If you're going to be a smart arse, try and be right. Anyway, though you lot weren't going to pop over to our boards and spout garbage anymore? That lasted a while..
You are right that 2.6 was the amount quoted. It is understood to be the amount that the fee could rise to as opposed to the amount we have paid for him. Much like the Robbie Brady fee (2 million plus) is also understood to be the amount that it could rise to as opposed to the amount we are actually paying at this point in time. Clearly you are not stupid enough to not understand this, you are just being a royal idiot once again.
I'd rather deal in the facts stated rather than the dreamt up figure of fans who would rather pretend they paid less. I couldn't care less though, just pointing out the facts though
