How am I disrespecting the 96? I in no way have intent on disrespecting the 96 that died on that fateful day. I'm just saying that I think it's a bit disrespectful that a fan has his feet on a seat reserved for one of the 96... Not trying to insult the 96 at all and if you get that impression then I'm very sorry.

Secondly, I for one might be a disgusting scumbag, but others like, ummm. Well not everyone is, so calm down and change your attitude kid.

Stop mocking and disrespecting the unfortunate 96 people that died on that tragic day by using it as an excuse to start arguments and cause rows and get people harassed and frowned/looked upon then. Grow up

Fair enough kid, we'll try. Humorous coming from the fan of the worst club in world football though, keep trying though and keep those chins up.

Just to get this somewhat back on thread, don't think there was much we can take from todays game.

Sturridge scoring and looking lively after a while out was good, took his goal well and shame didn't get another one. Shelvey seemed to link up well, hopefully Gerrard & Suarez will have a similar udnerstanding - good players play well together so can't see this being a problem.

Lucas looked poor - but can be forgiven as we know what he's capable off.

Allen looked even worse, I'm a fan of him and I like having a player in there that does the simple things and keeps things ticking over - also can be more effective when pushed up, but it seems Mansfield players got into him early and easily pushed him off the ball. Not sure if it was the pitch or just a bad game but that was a worry. Hopefully Henderson gets the nod next week ahead of him.

Thought Robinson was probably the best defender, apart from one moment in the seconf half when he belly flopped the ball he played well. Think given a few more seasons and regular first team football he could be a very good player. It's a shame we don't have more cover as would be nice for him to go out on loan to a Championship team to get first team football (possibly Blackpool as Shelvey & Ince have both progressed nicely when moving there).

Overall, can't gauge much from this, next week will be a different team, different pitch and different opposition.

Rodgers made a prick of himself again.
Criticises referee's for making "bad decisions" when Suarez doesn't get anything but had nothing but praise for the ref today when he wrongly allows Suarez's goal.

I lost all respect for Henry when he deliberately handballed to score against Ireland and I have now lost all respect for Suarez.
Can't be arsed to read through the thread, I'm sure the usual suspects are defending him but let's be in no doubt...he's a ****ing cheat. Like Maradonna and Henry before him.

  10. You say you've lost respect for Suarez after today's handball yet one of the most famous things he has done is handle the ball on the goal line to help Uruguay make the World Cup semi-finals <doh>

i love how terrorwit tries to link henry style handball to a minor infraction whiole completely forgetting how suarez totally deliberately handled in the world cup to his team's benefit.

honestly if you are going to try to be a wum at least research so you've decent ammo to use... must we wum for you, are you that lame? you csould go support you swans but i reckon you don't really care about them....

    anyway the game:

rubbish performances, muckball pitch... shelvey completely forgot to bother.. sturridge looked rusty but i reckon a good pitch and a proper bit of pressure to perform will make him better... LFC were piss poor again in midfield and i lost count of the times i could count 6 of thier players pressing up while our cbs tapped it about and we failed to deliver a decent ball to cut them up. they were tactically naive, we were technically poor and the pitch is no excuse really.

Reserve team did the job expect for the fact that wisdom, lucas, sturridge and allen would certainly be called first team and suso and shelvey are our top prospects apparently.

Mansfield can tlka boua thow theyh were robbed and live off it for years i suppose eh? roll on oldham away!

So you already knew he was a cheat and you're comfortable with it.
So the next time Rodgers opens his mouth to criticise a referee for not giving poor Luis anything you'll be on here admitting he's pathetic? :)

  13. So someone that's cheated in the past never gets fouled in the present?

Did your mam ever tell you the one about the boy who cried wolf?
Rodgers should learn to keep his gob shut. He sounds pathetic.

Anyone watching the highlights, not just cause I am an LFC fan, but because after seeing countless replays I think it is clear that for once LS did not handle intentionally, and Gordan Strachan pretty much nailed the explanation likening it to parking on double yellows. Would be too much to expect an apology from the commentators though...? :)

You are a classic example of the type of idiot who gives football and football supporters a bad name. You only have a faint grasp of what you talking about, limited skills with which to express those 'thoughts' and a form of deluded self-centredness that truly believes that the world needs your opinion. That's why.

Luis Suarez cheated a struggling football club out of their payday today and your manager defends him.

Can't take that on the chin can you.

You know nothing about me but still offer your opinion. It says a lot about you.

'' would you ask that question if the player wasn't Luis Suarez ? '' that's what he said to one journalist after the game.
