As he issues a statement confining the after-goal music debate to the 'bad ideas due to non-locals deciding our local heritage' bin, can I suggest that he now considers the policing of games at the Circle as a means to improve the matchday experience for existing and new coming fans. Perhaps this suggestion has been mentioned before? For a change yesterday we decided to save our inconvenience in getting back to the North East corner and leave the East Stand through the gates of hell separating those vicious growling home fans from the equivalent hellraising hoards from Laandan. Being forced to stand and wait for what seemed like an age watching a procession of Orient fans walk past in wonder on t'other side of the fence, a guy with a Cockernee accent tapped me on the shoulder and asked what everyone was queuing for. As I informed him this was our local police's main policy for avoiding after-match trouble, he replied in a cockernee accent: "Wow, I ve just come out of there with all me mates." I looked behind me to see between 10 - 15 Orient fans laughing their arses off. At this, I pointed out the fact to one of our on-looking finest dressed in blue. Watching the antics behind me he joined the cockernees in their laughter and to paraphrase through his giggles replied: "I don't make the rules. I just get well paid to carry em out!" So in short, those away fans had been herded away down the alley of shame wondering what was going on, only to be allowed through the gates at the end in laughter back into the middle of the East Stand throngs. Please sort it out Mr Thompson or maybe move to a better designed stadium as soon as possible at, say, Melton for instance!!

We all agree on this but I don't think it's down to the club. The Police just have us by the balls. The law is massively against football clubs and fans in particular to a ridiculous degree. For example you can be arrested on the spot without justification if you're suspected (without evidence) of being a football hooligan. However if you're suspected of terrorism you cannot be arrested without evidence. Here's one you'll love Mussy, the OB say we can't play Yorkshire teams in an afternoon because we'll all be pissed up and violent, but what's the one exception? This Saturday. Why? Because Sky say so. So it's too risky to let us play at 3pm against Leeds and Huddersfield because we'll all be pissed and violent, but it's okay to play at 5.20pm if Sky want us to? Insanity.
please don't tell the Orient fans of that. they ll be laughing even more at the replay and issuing ball, chains and shirts with arrows on to all our fans a week on tuesday (or when ever it is)
No more early kick offs and if the HDM ever publish pre-match warnings to behave again ban them from the training ground/access to players.
I can't help thinking the Club or God forbid the local media could ask the Police to review their tactics, given they've blocked some of the exits to the vomitaries for ten years now and never once been needed. It's not unusual to have three or more stewards as well as three or more Police stood in the exit from the seating area near us, and they've not once been called into action. I'm sure that's repeated in other areas. No legislation can justify such blatant ineptitude that amounts to theft. Surely there's more chance of them being a hazard in an emergency anyway? To add to the pure nonsense it is, they've all ****ed off ten minutes before the end of the game. What's happened to suddenly make it change from needing half a dozen or more to needing nobody at all? Let's not forget, every hour they're stood there is an hour they can't do proper Police work.
There were Leeds fans in the West Stand last week. I pointed this out to the stewards who said as long as they don't cause trouble we cannot do anything. I asked him why we were playing the match early and he said to avoid trouble. It's a nonsense.
I reckon there'll be more trouble against Wednesday, they get an extra 5 hours to get pissed up and fight. Be nice viewing for the cameras won't it, not! If the coppers let everyone have a good time then there'll be less violence many believe and so do I.
on big crowd day's, does anyone think that there is a potential Ibrox style hazard in more than 10000 people attempting to exit the stadium area over the thin railway bridge and associated stairway in the South East corner? Surely, there is a bigger risk factor in allowing unattended away fans walking back across the car parks and over this same bridge
More? What trouble have you seen at the Kc? Wasn't it Sheff Wed that our plod served and protected by escorting their coach to Green bricks and guarding the doors? When it came to go, a local lad and a lass from Hull got on the coach to go to the ground, but when the van load of plod went in to get the Wednesday lads back onto the coach, the pub was empty. They'd all ****ed off and were up at Botanic about two miles away. Serve, protect and reassure.

It's not good, the gates are open for the away fans to to towards the West Stand, they can get to the East Stand by going to the coaches so what's the point. The gates should only be used for Cat. A games, there's enough police to ensure everything is OK for B&C games - just open the gates!!!!!
perhaps a little radical, but I have been to away grounds where the police are doing a good job. For the money we pay, are we free to contract whichever police authority we wish to give us more bang for our buck. Maybe the esteemed writer of those cracking Amber Nectar articles can have a word with his dad to influence the thoughts of the new authority?
from personal experience alone including the likes from Oldham to Man Utd, there's always been sensible policing in Greater Manchester. I can't remember an occasion to be upset about over there when i ve visited
