I could see that possibly being true. Nottingham Forest's owners are rich with big ambitions, if a little unstable. 4 million to get into the Premier League would be worth it to them, and Sharp's been good.

Sad to see him go, though. I think he can play in the Premier League, but his style didn't really fit Saints. He deserved at least a game though. Hopefully he gets it with Nottingham Forest.

Forte is a different matter. Forte had a brief flurry of goals that sent us up, did nothing else. He had a lucky 10minute spell.

Sharp's form was more long-term and carried over numerous matches.

shame about sharp, bit of a fan favourite in no time. When he was signed though i got the impression he was the more available option out of himself and hooper. are we going to go back in for hooper?

 

Can't see it, they're in the knockout rounds of the CL now and he won't want to miss that. Plus I think we would have gone in for him in the summer if we were going to, we went for JRod.
