Some people believe in god. Some people don't. Some of those that believe don't think that those that don't should voice their opinions. Some people disagreed.
I was more interested in why ST and Weeble got into a big hissy fight. I put my money on Weeble talking sheer ****e as usual.
Basically, Rebel asks you a question like "why are you wearing a hat?" and someone says "why do you want to know why I'm wearing a hat", to which Rebel responds by stating "I didn't say you were wearing a hat. I asked why are you wearing a hat?" In essence, when Rebel asks you a question to which he is very obviously implying something and you give him an answer he doesn't like, he accuses you of accusing him of saying something he didn't say. Think Medro on steroids
Not exactly true, it seems some people who don't believe in God are unhappy that others do. I don't see why anyone has a problem with someone else's personal beliefs especially when they have no impact on their own beliefs, or even their life.
It has to be said MD, the tarriers definitely do a lot more in-fighting than us good ****s. Guess it is just in their make-up.
Spot on - and he ain't the only one. This thread and a fair number of the comments on it (from both sides) have nothing to do with people's beliefs but more individuals trying to show how clever they are. I'm exempt of course because i know I'm more intelligent than any one else on here - a Priest told me that by the way
I know all about weebles tactics. Hes the sort of **** you need to slap and put in his place cause arguing is his be all and end all.
And I forgot to add, regardless of how much of a ****wit he makes of himself, Rebel always has to have the last word.
A parent with a strong faith in God and the afterlife who has lost a child. Should she be challenged? Should she just be told look your child is dead, there is no way you are ever going to see your child again? What would that achieve but hurt? Each to their own, live and let live, it may be an old fashioned attitude but some people are old fashioned and like it that way, same goes for people who do have faith.
I disagree. I don't think people are unhappy about it. They're just questioning the logic of believing in something for which there is no evidence of it existing. <ouroboros> No one's buying it Rebel. <lastword>
Doesn't matter. Hes right - you're wrong. He would've tried to disprove Einsteins theory of special relativity and then have the cheek to tell Einstein he won. End of story. Rebel you're a spastic skinny Irishman with no authority over anyone in your life so you come on an internet forum and try to be someone you just aren't. I've met 100 people like you and I'll meet 100 more.
Because the bold part is clearly not true. Tell it to dead abortion woman from a couple of weeks ago. Oh wait, you can't, cos she's dead.
Off the top of my head in about 60 seconds... the Catholic Church is going nuts about gay marriage - which they don't have to perform in their own churches. You can't place a bet on a Sunday in Belfast because it's illegal for betting shops to open on the Sabbath. A non-christian woman recently died in a Galway hospital after being refused a medical abortion because of the ROI's antiquated abortion laws. One of my children came home from School telling me that God created the Earth in 7 days. All Christians sticking their nose in where it's not wanted - if I actually put any thought into it I could give you dozens more examples.
