Am I watching the wrong game? he's having a shocker...but he's not the only one. Turgid at best that.
Thought Shelvey was best player on the pitch in the first hald. Two great through balls for Sturridge both should have resulted in goals and another one for Wisdom as well. Has miscontrolled a couple but then so has everyone.
Sturry looked good in first half. Impressed with his debut... some of our other players have looked OK- but seem to be a bit complacent and sloppy. This isn't anywhere near as comfortable a game as it could be. I'd love to see what Sturry and Suarez can do together.
i'm not sure if its the stream i'm using but it doesn't half seem dark there. turning on a few more floodlights would be good...
Well how many times have you seen him? He hasn't played much really. I think he's young and as with all CB's will make more mistakes now than they will later. Look at Savic over at city. Same type of player. Big, strong, tall. High centre of gravity, looked a bit sloppy at times at City. Lost a few tackles, created a penalty against us. They sold him after a single season because they obviously don't have time or patience to develop a player. He's dominating at Fiorentina, who are in the Scudetto/CL race right now. With game time comes experience. He should get more games, ahead of Carragher at least. Based on today I'd rate them the same. Carra looks to pass to Jones no matter where he is on the pitch. If we had a corner, I can bet that Carra would try to head it back to Jones if he could. Playing next to Carra in a match like today on a sloppy pitch is hardly going to show him in a positive light. Playing Carra is sentimental, playing Coates is investing in potential. That being said there are matches where the experience of Carra is needed, but I don't think that day is today.
It's six minuted too far PS...couldn't park outside my house when I got home from footy, ****ing false Stags fans!
Bit harsh on Carra. He's adapted to the passing build up play quite well tbh, much better than we expected. He rarely just hoofs it up and makes quite a few passes upfield to Lucas/Allen. He also hardly ever looses possession. Sure he might not dribble or sidestep forward like Skrtel or Agger but, lets be honest, who else does? Agree we should be playing Coates ahead of him though
****ing hell! don't know who's supplying the stream i'm watching but richard keys and andy grey are fronting it!
