Ward has requested the services of Lund on loan until the end of the season â but says that another club has also expressed a desire to take him temporarily. JW said "I spoke to Stoke about Matty on Thursday. They are prepared to let him come back, but, as I understand it, there is another club that has come in for him. The situation will be resolved with a 'yes' or 'no' early next week I'd have thought, but we'll have to wait and see. I liked Matt as a person and a player, but it is something that is out of my hands at the moment"
I reckon Lund will come back to Rovers rather than go out on loan somewhere else. t's a different story if someone else bids to sign him though.
Smacks of desperation surely it should have been agreed before the loan ended mistake. Also suggest If he really wanted to come back he would have said yes immediately. The other clubs bid must be a strong one. Why would you want to join us unless you are a no hoper like Kenneth or Anyinsah? COR
stoke was happy with lund to return but ward wanted to look at lund 1st before confirming the deal. he was suspended for the rotherham game but as that was postponed, it meant he was suspended vs aldershot instead. cheltenham game then got postponed so ward had to wait to see him vs plymouth on tuesday. he then said to stoke he wants lund back but stoke then said within that waiting time they had other offers so ward will find out early this week coming what stoke has planned for lund. wards fault for delaying things but i understand why we would delay as if he thinks he can get better in then no point keeping a loan that wont get used.
Yes however North and the other coaching staff would have given him the nod as to his ability mistake by Ward thinking he was in control.
