If we did that, it should be expected though right?? I know there is a thread for this but hearing Chelsea are close to signing Isco!!!!!!!!!
As a few of the lads have already said, a fantastic gesture by Mansfield Town FC. The two sides meet in the Third Round on Sunday. And it has been confirmed that cards bearing the names of each of the 96 supporters who died during the semi-final of the competition on April 15, 1989 will be placed on empty seats separating home and away fans in the Conference clubâs One Call Stadium. * Click here to see our full Hillsborough archive please log in to view this image Explaining the gesture Mansfield Town's operations director, Paul Broughton said: âWe wanted to do something in light of what has happened this year in terms of Hillsborough and as itâs been so long since the two sides met. âOne of our fans suggested we place a name on each of the empty seats in the segregation section of the stadium. The idea sent shivers down my spine. It was an amazing idea.â The show of solidarity has won the warm backing of Hillsborough victimsâ families. Chairwoman of the Hillsborough Family Support Group (HFSG) Margaret Aspinall, whose 18-year-old son, James, was among the 96 who died, said: âI felt moved when I heard that Mansfield had planned this tribute. âTo me, it sums up where we are at, in terms of how everyone around the country is starting to realise what weâve known for a long time about Hillsborough.â She added: âIt will be a lovely gesture and I think itâs entirely appropriate for us going forward in our fight for justice. It means a great deal and I would like to thank Mansfield on behalf of the HFSG for what will be a beautiful gesture.â [h=4][/h] Read more: Liverpool Echohttp://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/2013...ents-mansfield-100252-32551964/#ixzz2H9FfFjhL
Also, that Mansfield exec looks like a excessively tanned man in a wig: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20921259
I think Sturridge would be a better selection for you than Suarez in this match. Although I don't know a lot about Mansfield, I can imagine their defenders would probably target Suarez if he played.
We all expect to be able to run away with this game and score a lot of goals I think it will be a tight affair + their pitch is awful so we wont be able to play our fast zippy style Nice touch by them for the 96
As louis is desparate to play all the time (good on you lad) and sturridge is nit 100%, I think louis will start and be subbed for sturridge for the last 29mins. That or we get jonjo up front again. We can be a bit lazy against lower opposition like this so I am going for a 3-1 win with mansfield scoring first abd keading 1-0 at half time.
I think we will win awkwardly. Probably have Shelvey as a striker with Suarez and Sturridge on the bench with Sturridge coming on late on.
My Sunday league team (that loses most weeks) just beat top of the league 2-0 this morning. Bring on Stags...
If Sahin does not start today or if it's just another 10min cameo, then i honestly think it's BR's ego that's stopping him from getting to starting lineup. I think it could all be down to that interview he gave sometime ago. Which the media fabricated and made a big fuss out of it, there were headlines like "BR is playing Sahin in the wrong position' and similar crap like that, but as per direct quotes all he says is 'If I could choose a position it would be holding as I feel more comfortable there', I honestly don't see anything wrong with that statement. But i guess BR probably got pissed off about it. But if he's getting personal about that and not giving him a chance because of that, that's just childish and rude. I really hope i'm just wrong and that he plays today. Because i honestly thinks he is a top talent and just needs to be given some time
Leaked team (twitter) seems surprisingly strong - not sure if it's been posted. Jones, Wisdom, Carra, Coates, Robbo, Allen, Henderson, Lucas, Suso, Shelvey, Sturridge We SHOULD win this... real pity Borini isn't quite far enough down the recovery line to be involved.
If that is the team surpirsed no Downing. Thought would be a good game for him to try keep his confidence high by scoring or creating a couple more goals. Midfield seems very strong considering we have United next week. Thought Sahin would be included to give him a run out.
I'm not sure if this is the final team, But if it is, I just don't understand the fOckin beef with Sahin. Why isn't BR giving him a chance. If cole was around i'm pretty sure he would have started. A bloody shame the way he is treated. But i really hope this is not the team and just some non sense on twitter
On thre official site they keep refering to Sahin as 'recovering from a nose operation'. So I'll guess he cannot play.
Other than the fact you're right about him not playing regularly you've just made the rest of that up in your head. You know nothing about why he isn't playing do you? Maybe just maybe he doesn't EARN a place. He's a good player no doubt but that counts for **** all IF his attitude is half arsed (and I emphasise the IF). You don't know anymore than the rest of us why he isn't playing, what I do know however is that he's hardly looked like a guy desperate to impress when he's played. Should he just earn a shirt due to past performances with a different club or should the onus be on him to prove he deserves a shirt?
If that is the team then Lucas's fitness ust be really good now. If it wasnt then Rodgers would wave the chance to rest him.
Liverpool team to face Mansfield Town. Jones; Wisdom, Carragher, Coates, Robinson; Lucas, Allen, Shelvey; Suso, Sturridge, Downing. SUBS: Gulacsi, Flanagan, Skrtel, Coady, Henderson, Sterling & Suarez.
