Did anyone else watch the Newcastle match yesterday and get the feeling that they wanted to get beat. They gave away possession at every opportunity and made Brighton look like Barcelona.
I honestly think that I could pick a team out of our local pub and put up a better performance than that.
I know they've had a few injuries to key players but surely that makes the replacements play their hearts out.
I definitely reckon Pardew has told them just to turn up and not bother because they have other priorities.

If true, Pardew should be shot with ****e from their lot and celebrated over here. Agent P? Lol

There is already a massive split over there whether if should be sacked now.

5 months into the following season after winning Manager of the year, the muttering has begun to get him sacked.

Football is such a fickle world. Lol

I don't believe any manager sends his team out to get beat. Newcastle looked exactly what they are, and thats a team going through a disastrous run of results, low on confidence and without 7 or 8 first team players. Brighten were favourites with the bookies beforehand

Ref did more to get the Mags beaten than Partridge did.

Laughable sending off. Brighton player should be disciplined for making a meal of it.

Without a doubt that will be rescinded on appeal. The Brighton player should be exposed for the utter soft ****e prick he has been seen to be.

That said, I am still pissing myself laughing.

Funny when the boot's on the other foot isn't it?

Sort felt sorry for mag fans, the cameras over here in Thai via Astra sport kept panning onto there poor little what the f4ck is going on faces, priceless, shame lol

On the flip side should be repercussions, piss poor team first out, piss poor effort, and shocking subs, a lot of mags fans travelled and if they make the effort so should the team and management !!

Sounds like for the majority of our game we were poor to but that's teams fault, was strong enough to satisfy our fans

Pardew even admitted we have other concerns. While I would never say he told the players to take it easy, he would have highlighted the importance of PL survival. It is a shame as I really want us to win a trophy before I die however I can understand the thinking. Felt sorry for the 3500 fans that made it down there though.

Mags were woeful as were we until Wickham came on. Mags losing Ba is massive. I feel they will be signing more players of a decent level. I worry who we will sign.

Don't think it can be rescinded. It was a second yellow, I'm pretty sure you can't do that?

You're right Somb, ridiculously, you can't appeal yellows, even if they lead to a red.

The Mags were woeful, I knew they would be, I backed Brighton, I was stunned at how poor they were.

Absolutely they are suffering, any team outside the top 6 would miss Cabaye, Ben Arfa & Ba for sure.

Williamson is not, and never will be a Premier League player, but Pardew hasn't replaced him. Pardew has failed to look at his desperate CB situation for a succession of windows, Debuchy is a smashing signing, but the smart money was on buying a CB and moving Santon to RB, looking at a stop gap LB.

They were linked with Yanga M'Biwa and Douglas for months, Yanga is quality, Douglas is average, but would have been more than good enough, yet they eem to have spent all there time persuing a RB, extraordinary.

A good CB will cover poor wing backs, vice versa it doesn't work.

They have appaling back up, and the young lads they have coming in are way, way short, I wonder if they have a top heavy wage budget, as in, it's all going on the 5 or 6 top end players they have, and as a result they can't get competitive elsewhere.
