it is. I wore it playing table tennis today and my mate drew 2-2 with me; I had 100% record until that.

The lads were playing well today until Chelsea scored their second goal just before half time, that totally deflated the teams confidence. Fair play to Chelsea, they totally outplayed us in the second half.

Shame we couldn't get a cup run going. League it is.

After conceding the first Chelsea goal Saints were nowhere near good enough today. The match showed that we do not have enough depth as we desperately missed Lambert and Gaston. Players such as De Ridder and Tadanari Lee are simply not good enough to face teams like Chelsea. Puncheon, who has arguably been one of our best players this season, Ward Prowse, Guly and Rodriguez were out of the game in the second half and Chelsea ensured they wernt going to threaten them after the first goal. Saints didnt create anywhere near enough chances. Fonte's injury looked nasty and leaves us desperately short at the back. Boruc - is he really any better than Kelvin? Overall a rather depressing day for the Saints. Hope we can change things at Villa next week and concentrate on moving up the PL.

Chelsea will not win anything this season, bar this competition, so is no wonder they're putting it all into it. Am happy with this, though would prefer not to have the psychological dent of five goals. And obviously Fonte is a massive downer.

I know Swansea are a decent outfit, but I'd expect Chelsea to overcome them over two legs. And a final against Villa or Bradford should be a walk in the park for them.

And I wouldn't put it past them taking the Europa League 100% seriously either. I'm fairly certain that Rafa is targetting a cup treble - both in an attempt to get the fans onside, and to try and secure the job as manager for next season too.

Today's 2nd half performance was awful and totally unacceptable. Chelsea walked all over us with ease. All the fight seemed to go out of us when Moses scored. We just seemed to give up.

Yeah, sorry, thought I'd written 'anything of note', but can see I didn't - that for me excluded the League Cup. Europa maybe - just actually reckon they won't win it, (is a point where these bigger clubs' complacency outweighs their genuine desire to win that competition) but yes, had forgotten about that one.

That's funny because I genuinely played table tennis against my mate earlier when he came round after going to the game, he was wearing the red kit and thoroughly battered me, but he always does because he's better than me.

I blame todays defeat on the numbnut that drew Chelsea against us out of the hat, why couldn't we have drawn Hastings?

It was just bad luck drawing Chelsea...though, with our thin squad, it may turn out to be a blessing. Would have been nice to have a couple of easy games, though.

Wow Tom, not like you to be so down. I'm feeling v'philosophical about this one, we played well for 40mins and I loved J.Rod's goal.

Let's face it the difference between the teams is they have a £20m player on loan, a £50m player on the bench and about £200m on the pitch. As SaintDon says the real problem occurred at the draw.

As Fran said the Cup can be a distraction when you're trying to stay in the prem, we've lost Jose for a bit, let's hope we get that Italian CB signed up soon.

I know it's got next to no chance of happening, but we could maybe do with Cheltenham drawing with Everton tomorrow night. That way, whilst we're taking on Chelsea in the league the Wednesday before our home game vs Everton, they're taking on Cheltenham in a replay.

We played well for 30 minutes but when Chelsea scored the equaliser there was an air of inevitability that we were going to lose from the players. I was really angry by the end of the 2nd half. I was shouting not very nice things at De Ridder every time he messed up (95% of the time) because A) he is **** and B) I was really frustrated and disappointed with the team performance in the 2nd half.

I find it difficult to argue with your De Ridder tantrums. Why does the 85th best player in the world never get on?
