Why bring him back when we have Wilson there? He is a far more capable player.

I agree I'd rather wilson than Waggy but if Wilson is injured and Green is doing his usual self and being off form then Waggy is far better as next choice for Wilson

I am a huge fan of Wilson, was not comparing him with waggy.Today Wilson played right back,Waggy could have played instead of Cook IMO..

I wasn't there so couldn't judge whether Waggy could have played. I've been a fan of Waggy and my dad is a massive fan of him and I wouldn't complain to Waggy getting another go, while not the most technically gifted he works hard for the team and gives his all, same as Pritchard for me.

I guess CP wanted to see more of cook in a competitive game. He used this game to somewhat experiment it seems, and he knows what waggy can do.

Though playing cook on the right wasn't the best idea. I said before the game he is more of a 4-3-3 striker, and on the left. Sorry you didn't get to see your man GMR.

GMR, we've all got our favourite players that we'd like to see in the side - a couple of my favourites have hardly appeared at all and may never get there.

Waggy got his chance, played out of his skin for a while and then just simply blew his chance by 'disappearing' for long periods of games - we may as well have been playing with ten men sometimes, his contribution was so poor.

He had the chance to show what he could do in a completely different environment when he went to Brisbane Road and failed to make any impact there either.

Not sure where he goes from here, but surely, go he must.

Yeah but that happens with all sorts of players, Jacko never seems to do anything at all when he plays but will appear at the back post and grab a goal, then not to show for the next 89mins. BWP does the same and lots of people are wanting him in the first team (myself included as when he does show up he is very good) and as much as I like him Stephens does it too. The problem with Waggy is that he's not as technically gifted as the other 3 i've mentioned, I would always have him on the bench though, he comes on with some pace that can really cause havoc in some games :)

Yes, that's a valid point, Ted but with Waggy, it seemed to become a pattern. Even in games where he scored, it didn't see to inspire him to get a second, or go looking for the ball to make things happen, he just vanished.

Waggy doesn't do his job which is to challenge the full back and get crosses in. Wilson does that- it doesn't always come off for him but then he busts hi gut to get back and assist solly.

Waggy is brilliant assisting solly, but neglects his forward play other than getting in the box when we attack down the left. It's a shame, but nothing has changed in 3+ years now.

Don't get me wrong, I think there are better players at the club by a mile, but Waggy is an option on the bench. In recent weeks I've looked at the bench and been like, there is no one who can change a game, or even attempt too. Granted 8/10 he won't change the game, but those 2 times he does could be key in getting a point or all three. I would love Waggy to be a consistent super sub/game changer but sadly he isn't, but I think he is more than capable against some defences to cause problems.

I know I've said this before but Scott Wagstaff looks like he learned to play Football on an Xbox.

As for the 'he could do a job from the bench' arguement - it is null and void as Chrissy doesn't use subs.

Then it's agreed, waggy needs to learn how to play real life rather than fifa tactics while Mr Powell needs to learn how to do subs, then all our problems will be solved <magic>

Think it was Oldham away where he pressed the dive-y whinge-y self-destruct button a few too many times. Probably was his last league game too. I like him when he's not getting up to that nonsense.

Looks like RM is Wilson's position to lose now. But LM has been a weakness all season. Waggy has played there in the past. Would mean he wouldn't put many crosses in, but would provide pace, an outlet, and could ghost in to the box when we're attacking down the right wing. It might also allow Evina/Wiggins attack more, as Waggy does track back OK. Just a suggestion, happy to leave it to those who can see the team more often to shoot me down on it. And Jackson seems to have impressed in that position at Watford
