Do you think we will sign a new striker or not?

I have a bad feeling that we won't sign a replacement striker for Ba.
Am I alone?

 

I don't think we'll sign an out and out ST, but I do think we'll sign an advanced right winger, esentially replacing Cisse in his former role. It is worrying, since that'd leave us with just 2 senior strikers. Then again, if we (somehow) manage to get Remy, that'd solve the problem I feel

 

I've said it before, the way Pardew has said that Shola can't go to the ACON
tells me that we don't have anything in the pipeline - hope I'm wrong

Unless Pardew/Ashley significantly bolster our team in this window, and the sooner the better, then I feel we are in dire trouble. Remember we were losing matches with Ben arfa, Cabaye, Tiote etc, playing so having them back won't make a lot of difference. We need fresh blood and fast especially with the 6 pointers coming up in Norwich, Villa and Reading.

 

I think that Ashley will be forced through gritted teeth to do something, but it will not be the
colour signing that we hope for

I've noticed that Lambsarse has kept his head down during this bad run
last season he was almost becoming human when we were doing well

 

These games are immense. Can't afford anything less than 6 points from Villa and Reading.

I really can't see us signing anyone, we needed a striker when ba was here. I just can't understand out board. What must the talented players at our club be thinking now ? All we want us a bit of ambition is it too much too ask for really ? It breaks my heart too see clubs which are in my opinion not as passionately supported as us (man city And Chelsea) doing so well with a money bags owner whilst we stick with our team through thick and thin and never seem too get anywhere

 

Yes we will sign a striker and I think we will sign a total of two more players. That's signing from a different club, not players returning from injury or contract extensions.

I still don't think a lot of our fans seem to realise that Mike Ashley is trying to get us to operate on a break even policy so of course we are not going to suddenly splash the cash no matter what our troubles are. Pardew pointed this out last month when he said we will get a new player in and replace whoever leaves. Well a striker has gone and so he will be replaced

 

It will be a typical Ashley signing if we do like kuqi or a french under 10
I have an idea that could help our defence !!!
Play Williamson up front as the further away he is from our goal the better

 

Well a typical Ashley signing would be a French international like Cabaye or Debuchey or what about a product of the world wide famous youth academy at Ajax in Anita, or top class strikers in Ba and Cisse................ no of course not, its a last minute signing to make up numbers

 

I think we will sign a very cheap French youth player from the lower leagues and that's it

With Shola suspended and only Cisse as a viable PL striker Mike isn't stupid enough not to.
If he didn't replace Ba we are as good as down..

That's the issue you cAnt afford to only have 6 decent players its a squad we need
Please tell me who played yesterday, granted we have has injuries but the nature of Ashley is not to spend
This season we should have built in the summer rather than going down

 

Even though early day's, agree with this now. I think Ashley will make us do with what we have.

 

i hate to say it but from pard's interviews he doesn't seem too confident
