But was born in the Chelsea and Westminster hospital and went to his first game at 2 years of age. This thread starter also has a home season ticket and does mostly all the away games... Nice try though ;)

A certain continental exoticness that conjures images of stabbed Leeds fans in Turkey. Yes... Amusing as you say. <doh>

Turkish fans aren't the only fans to let off flares during games.

    Fair enough.

Why on earth do Chelsea fans want to copy Glasgow Rangers and their bouncy, bouncy!! No class at all. If you guys want to prove what great supporters you are, go to You Tube, watch the River Plate fans doing their song, then come back in March and perform it live at St Mary´s!!

Can't we just end it by saying there were a few ****s in the Chelsea fans today that got a little too excited that Torres wasn't playing. Fireworks and all that kinda **** have no place in a football stadium, a few kids were actually crying when the bang went off. I just hope all the idiots get caught, but not all Chelsea fans are twats. All this thread is doing is going round in circles.

On our high horse?, thousands went to Fratton but as you say only a FEW flares were set off. Every team has a few idiots following them do not generalise. If I was to generalise I could say all Pompey fans are like Westwood and are drunken idiots that piss on seats but you aren't.

What generalisation am I making? I'm just saying you let off some flares, so you can't be too vocal against Chelsea for doing the same thing you did, albeit on a larger scale perhaps (I dunno, I wasn't there today).

Blimey, if according to Sir Alex Ferguson someone could DIE from getting a ball kicked at them.... then letting off a flare will surely kill THOUSANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Oh the humanity.

Flares are considered weapons of mass destruction.

Should have seen the ones I used to wear to school in the 70's. When I broke out into a jog, the flapping could whip into a lads eye from 10 feet away. Deadly.

But the people that didn't let off the flares can have a go right?, the way you are saying it implies that just because a few idiots lit flares at Fratton we are all the same?. I went to Fratton and didn't set of a flare and thought the ones that did were idiots as I think the Chelsea fans that did today are as well. I can be as vocal as I want as I didn't do **** all wrong on both occasions.

You'd better not go to a Red Star Belgrade game if flares offend you...

if anyone thinks Chelsea were a bit "norty" today, then you should have been in Hill Lane after the game at the Dell in the mid 80's.

The truth is im sure many others felt like me and couldnt give a **** how we got on today as all I care about is being out of that bottom 3 ! hense being a season ticket holder but choosing not to pay to go today , maybe Rafa feels he has to win a cup to avoid walking the plank . Summary is glad you enjoyed your day but were you the loudest at St Marys ?? according to friends that went not even close ...although it pains me to say it that probally goes to Pompey ! .......You beat us in a cup that 60% off fans dont see as being even close to a priority so well done Yawn Yawn
