Last season MON grasped the nettle and threw McClean in at the teams fortune. This time around we have all seen powerful displays by Wickham. He changes games and we look much better when he is on the pitch. Yet Marty won't give the lad a break?

I fear if Marty fails to play Wickham and not get the results it will cost him.

I would be bitterly dissapointed if we bring in a stop gap forward to play ahead of Wickham or a loan player.

Come on Marty give the lad a chance.

2 game changing appearances from the lad, he MUST get his chance.

Stubbornness has ****ed far bigger men than any football manager.

Reading his post-match comments I'm hopeful the penny has finally dropped with Mon as he says it looks like Fletch and Connor could play together.

I think its fairly obvious we need central midfielders and central defenders not Strikers.

Give Wickham a game and spend the money on a quality midfielder and a quality centre half.

Aye gotta start Connor now like.

I'm over the moon we have a manager of exceptional pedigree however having said that, I will be as pissed off with MON for not giving Connor a few start's as I was with Bruce for wasting the twilight years of Zenden's career.

If we go out and bring in another player like Cahill and leave Connor on the bench I will have to accept that MON isn't as good a manager as myself. :)

I was thinking today that we could lose Wickham because of MON or Wickham could be the reason for the fans to really go at MON.

I am desperate for Wickham to be given a chance, I really feel he is ready now to be a star for us and it's starting to give me the hump why he won't get a chance. Wake up Marty ffs!!

The more we bleat on about it the more he will dig his heels in mate, I swear to God either he or some **** else reads stuff like this & the more he knows, the more he sticks two fingers up.

If Wickham starts with Norman Stan up front against WHU, I'll eat my own smegma.

No he doesn't see what everybody else does.
I firmly believe that given a run of games that this lad can help us get to the next level. Then, when a top team comes calling we make a fab profit.

With MON at the helm I am inclined to agree with you Billy. MON obviously doesn't rate him. Would deffo prefer to give him a chance than pay 5 mil for a black n whiter (Danny Graham)

I believe MON will begin to play Connor more often in the future. I don't think MON is as stupid as Bruce, and that ladies and gentleman, is progress.

He's a big unit that toughs up defenders and gives them something to think about.
We're too predictable with Fletch on his own!

Another immense contribution from Wickham, which means he surely can't be ignored now...

Easy to manage (from the perspective of the opposition) would be how I would describe Fletch upfront on his todd.

Anybody prepaired to create a "Connor must start" petition! :)

    CONNOR MUST START

In fairness to MON he has said that the Fletcher/Wickham partnership appeared to work based on 35mins of play. Games together on the training ground may not have produced this but maybe no Sess was the ingredient that brought this on. Move him to right wing may produce results.
