There was talk outside the ground that the Meyler deal has fallen through because he couldn't agree terms. That can't be true can it? I thought he agreed terms yesterday and today had his medical?
Yes the last I heard it was supposed to be just a formality, but the less you hear the more you wonder.
Talk down our end that we've hijacked the deal and he's signing for us. Not really, but i'd be funny if he did.
Actually if you see the other thread, I posted that I havn't seen him play before. All I know is that he's a big lad (after a quite look on wiki) and that you all rave about him (which is why it'd be funny )
We may have found it in Matty James. He's been a revelation in the past 3/4 games and has dominated the midfield. He just tackles, wins the ball and passes. He just doesn't give the ball away. At the start of the season he seemed a bit overweight andnot up to the standard of NPC football (he's had some horrible injuries in the past in his defence) but he's een given the chance to play (his first game back was vs You) and he's really grabbed the opportunity. So, hopefully, we won't go splashing 2/3m trying to compete with PL clubs for Liam Trotter when we've got a younger player on the books already.
On the contrary, after stealing Millwalls player, it's exactly the kind of thing your bitter, paranoid, underhand manager would do.
Gets stuck in, scores goals great engine and lower prem quality. The type of quality mid who would complement Knockaert....
Millwall's player? You mean West Brom's? Meyler's not your player, either Out of interest (and trying to stay on topic) what has he ever done that suggest's he's bitter, paranoid or underhand?
I've heard them, not seen too many though I would say that maybe a bit of bitterness and paranoia would spice his interviews somewhat? Not that I really care, he could say what he likes as long as we're successful on the pitch
Is this the bit where we're supposed to point out his "protesteth too much" interview from a few weeks back where he said he doesn't do anything underhand in transfer dealings or try to unsettle players that was closely followed by Blackpool complaining about the way Baptiste was being unsettled by rumours being given to your local media about you wanting him?
