It is odd how regardless of the result we always score first isn't it? Can't remember the last time we didn't.
Chelsea´s final ball was always dangerous, we oooze over the final ball of Ramirez- well thwy have 5players in midfield and attack of equel or better quality, Mata is just pure quality and sooo dangerous. Ba is going to score alot of goals for Chelsea, Mosses kept on ripping Cork a new one, Shaw was getting caught out when pushing forward and looked a tad tired, JWP could not cope with the energy of Ramirez and had no real threat if playing no10, Davis for me was solid but negative with the passing. Overall Chelsea showed us how to play quick attacking football
I'm less upset by this than if it had been another one of those games where Saints are up and lose in the last 20 minutes. Nothing was expected out of that game, and not being in it meant Schneiderlin got some rest. These kinds of losses aren't that taxing to me. Saints got destroyed by Arsenal and it didn't appear to have lingering effects, so I think Adkins can still get them fired up and ready for Villa. It's a shame if we have lost Fonte, that's the only bad thing. But there's a bright side even there in that I think we all knew the back four was going to be re-arranged in the transfer window anyway and the Astori thing is looking promising with plenty of time still to find an alternative or additional defender.
Undoubtedly it would (should?) not be that poor when anything important was actually on the line, but the degree to which we folded was still alarming. Don't care gonna call him that until he scores what I deem to be an acceptable number of goals.
Adkins thinks Clyne and Ramirez will be back for Villa game...we are missing Clyne and will definitely need him if Fonte is out....I don't even want to think about that back four if Clyne fails to recover.
But I don't understand, Rodriguez has more than one goal, whilst Davis has only one? Is it something to do with his life goals? Like he only has one goal in life - to take Southampton FC to the top? That's nice.
If you play Jos, you still have to have someone on the bench...our options are limited. Hope Nicola is buying two CBs.
That was one of those games...doesn't say anything about QPR's quality v Chelsea. I'm hoping for 'one of those games' soon.
Shame Rodriguez has scored more than one goal and will continue to score goals at PL level until he retires with 50 England caps.
