West Ham United's relegation is set to spark a transfer scramble for Demba Ba. The Mirror says Aston Villa, Blackburn and Sunderland are all hunting striker Ba. Villa are understood to be keen to pair Ba with England hitman Darren Bent, regardless of whether boss Gerard Houllier returns from his latest health scare or not. Ba has scored five times in 11 appearances this season - including goals against Liverpool and Manchester City - to dispel doubts about his fitness. He was signed in January from German club Hoffenheim for a nominal fee that could rise to ã6million, should a number of clauses be met. Of the three clubs in for him, Sunderlandââ¬â¢s need would appear to be greatest with Steve Bruceââ¬â¢s squad desperate for reinforcements up front. NOW THIS IS ONE GUY I WOULDNT MIND HERE
Just to warn you but he's failed a few medicals because of his knee. Hoffenhiem tried to sell him twice (once to another German team and Stoke) before West Ham took him on. Often surprised this chap is mentioned more though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vedad_Ibi%C5%A1evi%C4%87
I agree mate, he never has been the same since the injury, he was terrifying when they first came up, literally tearing new arseholes for every defender in the Bundesliga!
ROG, we will go through this loadsa times through the summer, till the management is secure, nobody will come to the SOL. no matter who we would think would be good for us and the club, shame realy, back to the old ways,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, next year it WILL happen. said this for nigh on fifty years.
