I agree with this. A club that has been in the PL for 5 years should NEVER have to start a match without a full bench of subs, regardless of who we are playing.

I wonder if the youth team had a match today? Well MON has been saying how thin on the ground the squad is................ If anyone wants to take a look at some of the Youth squad you could just check out the fast food outlets around Fulwell/Roker or even the entrance to Morrisons at Seaburn. Seriously, some (but not all)they cadge money from their house parents and then go and spend it on fast food in lieu of the meals they would be getting in their digs. Apparently since Bally stopped being involved with the youth squad the discipline has gone out of the window.
We were comfirtably the better side going forward today. 2 meaningful attacks by them but we had two thirds of possession and their keeper made a couple of cracking saves otherwise this could've been a good win. Well I'll see you's at the replay
We've spent millions on our academy, why not put a few on the bench for experience. We've got a few good prospects!
