The official matchday thread for the FA cup 3rd round game between Peterborough and Norwich at London Road.

Looks like either Snodgrass or E Bennett to play just behind Simeon. Good to see Lappin back as well

    Nearly a reserve team then?

Seems a shame not to play Butterfield in the 'Hoolahan' Role...

Odd team but that was expected. I liked EB in the hole against Swansea away last season. Would like to see Butterfield at some point.
Anyone watch the Brighton match? Bridcutt was excellent. Hope we're still in for him.

Almost entirely a reserve side. Interesting to see how we cope with a lack of height up front.

Yeah, Bridcutt was very good, even if NUFC weren't.

If we were a championship team putting those players out we'd be feeling pretty confident.
But then the "magic of the cup" means anything could happen.

Hopefully Fox and Johnson will boss the game, looked good together at the beginning of last season

Well we all wanted to see a bit more of Fox, E. Bennett, Jackson, this will give them a chance to show the manager and us what they can do and prove themselves. It's nice to see Lappin playing too.

I expected a lot of changes, I'm not any less confident as they are all still very good players.

The point has been made already but I came on here specifically to make it...WHY IS BUTTERFIELD NOT PLAYING IN THE HOLE?! He is been brought back (one assumes to be given a go) yet Hoots is playing Snoddy in Hoolahans role.

Only reason I can think of is that he might be out on loan again soon an being cup tied might lower the chances of someone decent wanting him. If this is the case however, why even have him on the bench?! Seems funny that he wouldnt play to help his recovery?

I wish the commentators would stop calling Elliott Bennett Ryan, I'm half-working whilst I watch it, and keep thinking that we've uncovered a very attacking centre back with an excellent cross on him.

That'll do very nicely, ELLIOTT Bennett with a nice finish, Snodgrass given far too much room though.
