Transfer players not exactly falling over themselves ........... to join on with us. I guess with the position we are in, we would probably expect. This assumption is based on Harry saying that he wanted transfers done asap and not to wait till last day dealings. My gut feeling is that they will only come for the money so if Harry is not offering what MH was, people are staying put. Last thing we want is more mercenaries. With Cole choosing West Ham and others showing hesitation, nothing seem to be really happening so far. Any thoughts?
I imagine Harry actually meant within the first 2 weeks and was being more specific about getting away from "deadline day" deals...he wants things being sorted quickly and not at the last minute...something I think we would all like following the last couple of seasons activity! January is never a great time to get good deals sorted. I am expecting the deals we will do to be loans until the end of the season...not many players are going to want to sign on permanently with us right now, unless we drop our scouting network down a division.
Talk that Beard and 'Arry are working hard on his list. Gonna be tough to get the right premiership players. Wonder whether we'll end up with championship prospects instead; not sure that's good enough for a relegation dogfight. Definitely a hell of a quandary for the management team; they must be kicking themselves the way their buying policy has crashed and burned.
They've got 9 days to our next league match, I'd think one or two will have been signed up by then, even if they're loans...
Despite all the bulls*** rumours I have a feeling this transfer window will be a sensible one, because the board have learnt their lesson. The less names we're linked to the better.
Think i'd be more happy to see some go, I think the squad should be strong enough now, espiecially if one or two loanees coming back step up to the plate
