Not getting our priorities right has destroyed this country. Why do we invest millions into fighting harmless drugs like marjuana, yet we have public houses allowing people to get blind drunk. Which crowd are more likely to cause a problem, a group of drunks, or a group of stoned people? Alcohol is the worst drug in this country, yet we allow it, so why aren't far less harmful drugs allowed, like Marjuana? Because the government can't make a fortune from tax from them, no other reason
Maybe one day WF, I don't really have the time or inspiration to study the form as I used to. I still watch a fair bit of racing, but knowere near what I used to. I've had a few personal problems in the last few months, maybe once there completely out of my system il be able to get back into the swing of things. Anyways by the looks of things on here you guys do pretty well from the guys who give there tips on thè daily thread, most of you are pretty good judges
Pretty neatly put I reckon OddDog. It would be quite hypocritical of me to slaughter him for the recreational drugs thing having spent some very pleasant weekends in Amsterdam coffee bars. What I don't understand is his motivation. After he was banned he said he was most upset about letting down his wife and kids. If that is the case would he not be better served spending a bit of quality time with them during his ban. I suspect he doesn't need the cash to meet the monthly payments on his Suffolk ranch.
Everyone is blowing this out of proportion, the drugs ban was weeks ago, and he's spent Xmas and new year with his family. I'm sure his family are really upset that he's getting paid a fortune to go on this reality show.
I'd be surprised if the Dettori household need the cash KS. This is guy whose had 10% of £70 million in prize money since 2000. Then throw in his retainer with Goldolphin and his other business interests. It can't be the money. Financially it would be a bit like me taking on a Sunday paper round in comparison. Sadly I suspect he's been advised that it will improve his media profile. That being the case that's long odds against IMHO. A programme at least a decade past its sell by date on a channel nobody watches.
