Then Man Utd are only a few years old, as they have new owners, Liverpool also are only a few years old as they have had numerous owners and different businesses running them. You haven't actually got a point now, all you're doing is trying to wind up and I doubt anyone else will bite.
No boab, the ownership thing is only part of the issue. We ourselves have been bought out on a number of occasions. Okay, I sometimes choose to be mischievous with my choice of words, like liquidation, etc, but they're only half truths. Leeds differs from others that survived admin in that other clubs effectively bought/sold the golden share. In leeds case Bates walked away from the football club, taking everything with him and denying any link to the football club. In effect, at that point the club could not meet it's obligations and was no longer effectively part of the club that is the football league. At this point, the golden share that had been leeds was up for grabs. Timing and logistics meant that the most pragmatic solution was to transfer it to the new entity that Bates had set up, but strictly speaking they were neither forced nor obliged to and the new entity could have been any club from anytown had they been in a position to take it on at such short notice. As i hope you can see, there's a distinct difference between a company buying a football club off another company and a company having a golden share transferred to them because the original club was no longer viable. It's interesting to see Rangers fans don't make any fuss at starting again as a new entity with no transfer of history.
How wrong you are, in fact at a recent Ibrox game the delightful Rangers supporters threw coins at the Stirling Albion fans, for daring to show a banner stating that instead of celebrating 140 years, they should in fact be celebrating 140 days. Rangers supporters get very very upset and can be rather physical at any suggestion they are not the Rangers of old and legally they are correct, as the liquidation of the former owners did not having any baring on the football history of the football club.
D_M_D, there is a concept commonly referred to as substance over form. If you are familiar with it, explain to us how it is relevant to this thread. If not please research it and then go back to the prior step. Thank you.
The only reason he's making this sad, tired argument is because he thinks if he believes it strongly enough, it means Hull aren't sitting in the gigantic shadow cast by the great Leeds United. He's basically personifying the attention seeking behaviour of the Hull fan base on the whole, which is basically just like how a child's scream has the undertone of "notice me! notice me!" but on a much larger scale.
I'll take your word for it about the Rangers fans being upset at having their new status pointed out to them. I'd only briefly read something that implied differently but can accept that a club with so many fans is liable to have groups with polarised views. In any event, at least you appear to accept the facts as presented show that the current leeds is in deed a new club. nomark, there is no ulterior motive to me pointing this out. It's just a simple conversation. Relax and accept it. As your chosen club demonstrates, life is short and unpredictable.
Still at my little ass wipe !!, and still using fiction as your basis for a wind up, well you crack on pal we are Leeds United WE will always be Leeds United, so deal with the fact you have no history !!!!! Sorry Jonny lol..............
It's inferiority complex. It's not a coincidence that you're a Hull City fan "pointing out" this "important information" for an audience that quite frankly gives a grand total of zero ****s. If it was a scum fan or a Man City fan or a Liverpool fan or Arsenal or some other club that's genuinely bigger than us or at least of equal stature, then fair enough. But you're not, you're a Hull fan, and all you want to do is "bring us down a peg" to make yourself feel better about seeing us as rivals. Get over it, it's boring.
ladies, relax. As has been clearly shown, leeds United as was were liquidated. Leeds united as a club were scrapped and a whole new entity took their place and use the same name. That's just how it is. They're clear and simple documented facts. Now, instead of panicking at the realisation you should consider why you feel it makes you so much lesser as a person. That's the bit you really need to address and work out how to fill this void in your personality. Now, because I feel sorry for you two sad sacks in particular, I'll give you a hint as to what has surprised me in all of this. What I've posted are clear facts, try as you like you cannot dispute them. Strictly speaking Leeds are a whole separate entity from the side that had a brief blip of success in their perennial second tier life. However, football's a bit different, if enough opposition fans choose to ignore the facts too, you can pretend it never happened and keep hiding behind the bung funded baubles. PS 'ass' is a donkey. Here in the real world we call them arses.
You probably fit both descriptions and which real world is this that you profess to exist in? I ask you again: D_M_D, there is a concept commonly referred to as substance over form. If you are familiar with it, explain to us how it is relevant to this thread. If not please research it and then go back to the prior step. Thank you.
I'm sorry, didn't you notice I ignored your air fart for the meaningless pap it is the last time you posted it? I realise that people in America are under the mistaken belief people give a **** what they think, but if you've nothing meaningful to contribute, please sit quietly, there's a love.
Coming from a supporter whose club sold the naming rights to it's plastic bowl sorry stadium for money?
If it were true, it'd be a very different issue, as it is, we didn't for the same reasons old or new leeds don't.
Is that the best you could do when you don't have a clue how to respond? Not an uncommon tactic in your circumstances. George was similarly clueless.
Can't believe the rubbish that Dutch mountain jack Russell posts and managed to get five pages of replies. I looked in on this thinking it might be something worth reading. Some pitiful efforts from him
