All is not over with regard to the BTC as I alluded to previously. Morgan Stanley have been defeated in the case against HMRC for EBT to the tune of £500million. This explains why they stated they were stunned by the panels verdict in the rfc case. Also explains why they expect to go ahead with and be successful on appeal. Would be interesting if cases outwith Scotland went in favour of HMRC while one in Scotland went against them. Curiouser and curiouser.
RB rest easy. They are in denial and the holding company argument is being used brilliantly by Green against then, but they are too blind to see it. The Holding company can lend SEVCO funds, such as transfer fees, but at Wonga rates of interest. SEVCO may never have its own funds as such but is merely a holding house for the Holding companies monies. Earnings from SEVCO, such as ST can be used to repay loaned monies from Holding Co. Green says the club has no debt.......fine, but which club is he referring to????.? The football club or the one fans have shares in??.?.?. RIFC owns the media rights of the club, but they are minimal just now. Will RIFC own the rights to future media rights, such as those gained from European competition etc. Good enough reason to create a holding company over the football club. HC could come under admin or liquidation, but the assets could still lie with the club, allowing the creation of a new holding company, but those who have invested in old HC lose their monies. Btw if you buy shares in Celtic plc, you own part of the club and all its assets, stadium, training ground, media rights, players contracts etc
When I post Rangers related threads I only do it so I can get some Negative Rep from Nev and a comment about "Obsession". He's like a stuck record
Unless it's offensive I don't see the problem Pud, I personally am fed up reading it, especially the speculative parts. If the FTT has taught me anything it's always expect the unexpected so i'll keep my powder dry until something actually does happen this year, until then it's pointless but harmless imho. Just saying.
Modding these boards is akin to being King Canute, mostly a futile exercise. I would not even waste my time merging them, you are simply creating work for yourself and you'll end up going slightly mad and rapping the Mod lark in through sheer frustration. Someone else will step in and the board will continue to be populated with same stuff as just now except then you will have no option other than to accept it or go elsewhere. Voice of experience speaking
No it is not, because it becomes a vehicle, which will become apparent only with the passage of time. This will all end in tears. In the immediate future, if NS finds against them and strips titles, then there could be very serious consequences AS THEY REGARD SEVCO TO BE A CONTINUATION OF RFC, CONSEQUENTLY ADOPT A VICTIM CULTURE, WHCIH MUST BE AVENGED AND REVENGED. The innocent could suffer. They already swear revenge against enemies ranging from individuals, organisations to SPL clubs. It is all very well for Celtic fans to be dismissive, because we are a far bigger club, but by not opposing the continuation myth as strongly as we can, we permit them to indulge themselves in the victim culture totally overlooking the true victims, the creditors ranging from clubs to charities to tax payers who are owed £55million not to mention sporting integrity. I have a feeling that when NS, BDO and the UTT have finished there will be far less sympathy for them or apathy about the status of the new club.
Corporate figures. Celtic don't contact tiny companies and ask them to advertise at CP, nor do we paint advertising logos on the roof of training grounds, nor do we rename the stadium AGAINST the wishes of fans. figures don't add up......ask Miller
Fair enough i disagree, but its up to rangers fans to worry about that not us. They aren't even in the same league as us now so they have no effect on us at all.
In fairness Albert, they were always going to form a new club and they were always going to pretend it was the same one. I know we talked about it on here aaaaages ago, probably autumn 2011. It can't be a surprise to you.
How did you know I had a lishp ?????: No surprise to me, but I have explained why I believe it is potentially dangerous NOT to oppose their continuation myth at every opportunity, as this belief will end in tragedy. It perpetuates and intensifies then justifies in their deluded minds the victim culture, which demands revenge. The Scottish MSM are culpable in their own self interested pandering to their ridiculous stance. This will end in tears and possible tragedies. Tell them the truth at every opportunity, otherwise apathy in their minds equates to concurrence with their viewpoint.
Actually, I don't mind them fooling themselves. We knew it was going to happen and I was comfortable with the inevitability of it all. I think that they knew what liquidation meant and they knew this would be a new club but collectively decided to lie to themselves and now actually believe it. I don't mind them holding that position. That is fine. I do object to being told that I should believe such nonsense too. I would have been more comfortable with the truth; Sevco fans are without a doubt the spiritual inheritors of Rangers lineage. That sits fine with me. The SFA and SFL allowed the transfer of share from Rangers to Sevco to circumvent other requirements. If the SFA had told Spartans they were sorry but tough ****, they had to make this decision to avoid losing 38k worth of supporters from the game. I would have understood. I couldn't envisage any scenario where we wouldn't have angry Bares.
