Rovers confirmed that Matt Gill will miss the remainder of the season following a knee operation. The midfielder had a micro fracture procedure on the articular surface of his knee which has ruled him out for the rest of the campaign. Should he be replaced as Lund has finished his loan with us,especially given Clarkson is not by any stretch of the imagination a midfielder who can tackle we need that area tightened as teams have been walking through the centre of late O toole fits one position. We are left with Otoole,Norborn and Clucas in the centre of midfield What do you think should be done get Lund back or go elsewhere? COR
lund back me thinks. he knows the players in the team and can fit straight back in our system. thought him and norburn and o'toole linked up well.
CJ I am not sure that Ward wants Lund back perhaps he is looking to bring another midfielder he knows to stamp his mark on the team and influence the youngsters playing alongside Norburn.He Lund is as you say a good link man Ward may wish for another O Toole type player to break things up a bit in the middle taking pressure off of the defence when needed. He may also be too expensive? COR

ward wanted to see lund in action before making a decision to retain him or not which stoke was happy about. stoke seem up for letting lund go to us. ward got what he wanted, a chance to see lund in action vs plymouth and he scored a good goal and didnt play too bad linking up with o'toole and norburn. dont think he did himself any harm. so unless ward was saying he wanted to give lund a chance and see what he can do, so he could get the best out of lund for that 1 game before sending him back to stoke or ward does want him back but maybe looking for other options 1st, as you say, a cheaper option or more experienced option. bad thing is we are down a man now. hopefully clarkson is back and fit
