Didn't that Italian journalist guy say that if Southampton offered 10 million Euros, the chairman would bring Astori to Southampton on his lap?

I think if the club really want Astori, they have a really good chance of getting him. From what I can tell, Saints can outbid the Italian clubs on the transfer fee, and outpay them in wages for the player. I'm more worried about some mystery non-serie A teams coming in with offers.
 
I know Matt very well, he's 17 and used to go to my secondary and primary schooL Was a year below me and was always one of the best players along wth Jake Flannigan (plays for the u18's). Matt is technically quality, both footed but not the fastest. Jake is so fast and plays midfield.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was Saints that are in talks as Adkins did say that they have already had talks at the club regarding who they want to try and get in. Either way being linked with Forren and Astori is encouraging.

I think he meant discussions amongst the club staff about who to target.

I haven't actually seen any credible links to Forren, just the fact he is in talks with a premier league club. No indication it is us.

I'd rather a ****e english defender over anyone remotely foreign, that's where we went wrong last time.
