Usually the sign of a washed up star.

If you have been sniffing coke prior to riding around France at 40MPH, you shouldnt be on the Big Brother House on TV 24/7.

<laugh>- I think he thinks he has nothing to loose, it will either re-create him or break him even more! A gamble I wouldnt be willing to take!

He's certainly the biggest "name" in the house - I don't even recognise half of the others!

This could go either way - great for him & racing or really, really bad!

The other inmates have my sympathies for having to share with that Dettori creature.

With this prog, as with that ‘I’m in the Jungles’ one, how you fare all depends on the edit though and ultimately how producers wish to portray you and bulid up you character or role. You could for instance do something good and them not even show it in the recorded highlights or in contrast do something horrific which they will then build up into something huge.

Also, the money that is paid to people participating is so divergent and will usually range from as low as £25k right up to £500k and beyond. I’m guessing Dettori’s ‘fee’ will be closer to the latter figure.

I didn’t see the prog last night but just seen the list of participants and would say if old boy Rylan, from the X-Factor, doesn’t win then I’ll be Amazed with a capital ‘A’. His current media profile is huge and he’s just had tens of thousands of people voting for him each week in another, far bigger, reality show. Should he bring even half of these votes to ‘Big Brother’ he should coast home comfortably.

It wouldn't suprise me if Dettori wins, id imagine most of the viewers will be middle aged women, and Detorri is the house wife's favourite:biggrin:

Agreed the programme is terrible, I would never watch such rubbish. Don't understand all the hatred towards Detorri though, he's done alot for racing and deserves abit more respect

I can't think of many better 6/4 shots knocking about at the moment. Lump job on Rylan.

Absolutely. Don't understand the Frankie hatred, though I can see how his decision to appear on this freak-show won't win him many friends. Bad decision Lanfranco.

I don't hate Frankie per se. I don't even call him a ****er for snorting drugs - each to his own. But being stupid enough to get caught - ****er <doh> what sort of example does that set ??

he's been treated favourably so far. first in, placed in a privileged position with that rylan chap by the producers and they both got a lot of air time. so it could be he'll get good edits, but that can change overnight.

a large chunk of viewers are middlish age women you're right king shergar, although there's an equally large chunk of teens. frankie's only about 6th or 7th in the popularity lists at the moment. rylan (whoever he is) tops the lists of most popular housemate.

in terms of betting, the most accurate prediction of favourites/next evictees is the tellymix poll. other polls tend to be slightly out or even wildly out.

not sure yet what it'll do for his popularity really. depends how he comes across, in the edits, as sir barney says above.

Example to who? I could understand if he was a children's tv presenter, but he isnt, hes a jockey, and in a sport watched mainly by middle to old aged men. I'm sure horse racing fans up and down the country will be calling there local drug dealer just to be like there hero !

I don't particularly like drugs, though I must confess in my teens I tried it a couple of times. If Dettori wants to do them and damage his health then that's down to him. Couldn't really care less to be fair. Il still admire him as the great jockey he has been and still is
