1. we should not be buying ince at 6mil for a reserve. i simply don't see where he will play! I just cannot see this. he's good but unitl donwing goes where will he play?? 2. sterling and suso are our young up and coming players. that enough.. add sturridge and borini to this and our attack is already very yuong.. not even mentioning carroll as he's going or how young suarez is. 3. i'd move heaven and earth to get erikkson guys... best talent in midfield out there barring sniedjer. also i said the same about martinez whos at bayern now... if erikkson is avaible for 15mil i'd sell the crown jewels to get him... compare him to shevley? no comparison. 4. ince would not give blackpool a tribunal fee as he was not developed by them.. we developed him! he's not there long enough and they bought him!
This point alone is enough for me. I'm a firm believer of only buying players that will improve the first team. Do that and the squad will take care of itself. Bit like the saying 'look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves". Plus youngsters should help squad numbers too
They would get a tribunal fee, as he's under 24. The size of the fee would be affected by the time he's spent there, but they'd still get a fee.
Unfortunately, TB is right. The rule applies to players under the age of 24, nothing to do with who develops them
Seems Rodgers has told fans to not expect too much more in the remaining transfer window. Probably Ince and that is it more than likely.
Or that French chap, plays for PSG on loan (due to no more money for the Jan Window) with a view to a perm. deal in the Summer?
He has actually not lived up to all the hype apparently. He's been far too inconsistent. One of the reasons why he hasn't moved yet. Clubs feel he could not be worth the big money Ajax wants, he is definitely talented but just drifts out of games easily, and not a hard worker. I'd take Isco over him anyday, he's an Incredible talent, His close control and vision is probably second to none in his age group. I watch Malaga games just to see him play. Unbelievable talent! the only thing he lacks is a bit of pace, but his dribbling is just insane. I wouldn't mind holtby moving to spurs(those cu*ts always steal our targets). At least they wouldn't come buzzing around him next. Isco is a whole different class to that of Holtby. Spanish Pundits call him the future Iniesta, quite the fellow to get compared to.
Wouldn't like to see that, He looks a good player, probably get him on the cheap as well. To follow that up Alex...
He also said "We are not going to have a lot of money to do anything [else] in the window" So much for Werner's "We can compete with anyone in the transfer market" bullshit.
My biggest thing and it has been this for the past two years at least, It isn't like the positions from 3-8 are just so out of reach and all that. We have been **** but had we had some money, spent the money we had maybe a tad bit better or been smarter about some of the dealings, I feel we would be fighting for 3rd right now. Just feels that so many are just not that good anymore ( including us) and if we just put that extra bit of cash for that extra bit of quality it could just make all the difference. I know Ayre said right time and place and right deal but if there is a quality deal there to be had ( for example, Negredo, Gameiro, Sneijdar) why not at least try and see if you can get some real quality? Sturridge can be good and is a start but this goes back the past few years for me.
His contract is up in the summer and it is pretty much common knowledge they won't be offering him a new one. So surely they'd be open to a small offer like £2-3m this window. Regardless of what we think about him he would guarantee goals and Shelvey would learn a hell of a lot off him Was just curious what people would think if we'd be in for Lampard really.
Wouldn't mind at all on a £2-4m deal, as long as we don't pay him a ridiculous wage like we did with Cole. Not going to happen though.
