Sorry to bring this one up but, as you know he is out on loan until the end of the season at Huddersfield. Do you think that he will make a permanent move there?, (if they can afford a fee and his wages). Would anyone like to see him back here? I for one would give him away for peanuts or sell him for a nice fee and subsidise his wages for a bit just to keep him away from the rest of the squad. We seem to have a very settled and happy atmosphere within the team at the moment and I think that the last thing we will need is this tosser coming back and unsettling the apple cart.
Nobody at the club is going to say what they really think re:beckford, because it could affect any deal the club make in the future, but we all know what we all really think.. It baffles me.. these people live better than 99% of the population of the planet but still have a attitude problem.... some people are just a lost cause..
Most of the best players are, unfortunately Beckford's not one of the best players and thus it's not becoming in him.
Interesting that so many of you have met Beckford and know him so well, I've never met him so am in no position to comment on him or his attitude.
I didn't know adolf hitler either but I still think he was a c u n t ..... that comment is not smart or insightful... sorry...
It just makes me smile that so many people can assassinate someone's character without meeting them and making them out to be a disruptive influence - based on what? Fact is sometimes it doesn't work out for some players at some clubs and it seems Mr Beckford hasn't worked out at Leicester but he did ok at Leeds.
Dont have to meet him rightside. When you have a striker refusing to attack, and instead staying in the centre circle whilst you have an attacking free kick, it dont take a brain surgeon to know his attitude isnt right. If you were playing alongside him, you would be pretty pissed off with him for that.
You say that, but did you hear the pre-match interview with Shakey on New Year's Day? He said that spirit was good NOW, and that getting to that point was the hardest challenge of his career. Clearly a reference to Mills and Beckford, and possibly Danns and St Ledger too. Looks like this is all in the past now, but I would imagine Beckford and Danns are finished.
Andy King does a lot of work. How many times do people go past him? Rarely. He doesnt make a lot of tackles but he shadows and covers well. His work rate seems to be underrated by many. I just wish he would impose himself more on a game.
People go past or through him 90% of the time he plays and he gets bullied out of the game against the more physical sides, against teams that play on the floor he's great but against physical teams he's an empty shirt
As are many of our team. Singling King out for being bullied is unfair. We need some grit in midfield at times, and that is something a lot of posters feel. Matty James can be that player from what I have seen, and I would play him in the side before King. Back to Beckford - he aint right. Worried the **** out of me when we signed him and he came out with **** that pressure doesnt get to him.
I rate King as a good all-rounder. How many players will clear the ball off the goal line one minute and pose a threat up front the next? The trouble is he's a jack of all trades and master of none. At the minute, Drinky looks to be more of a creative force and James offers the better defensive option. But King can easily stand in for either.
But if Kings not 'pulling his weight' and leaving the rest if the team to do the tackling then is that not the same as Beckford is being slated for? By the way I think Beckford should be sold/released as he's had more than enough opportunities to deliver the goods and hasn't
Your totally right...we have all got ballotelli wrong aswell.., the world just doesn't understand these flawed geniuses...
You dont always have to tackle. Shadowing and covering is often enough. As for people going past him 90% of the time - I think we watch different matches.
