Strewth nah mate not me.....I confess to having family over there........the bulk of my family are a few more miles away than that I'm afraid. Although me I was found under the gooseberry bush in the old country mate and consider my self to be fully British with a lot of Scottish in me. Yes I did say Scottish and not scotch.....<laugh>

Strewth that was close. I nearly got chummy with someone who admits to Scottish roots. I have a son in law who is half Scots and I am still struggling to come to terms with that. If Salmond gets his way and Scotland gains independence will you have to hand in your UK passport and go home?

No and I'm no friend of Salmond either........I have a foot in either camp for my sins, the rest of my immediate family are indeed Scottish full blood. They too are no friend of Salmond. They all love their homeland but they do not consider themselves to be scottish as such anymore As the whole family emigrated mid 60's. Except me I was in our forces but didn't follow. I stayed in the UK with my own little family.

St godders used to have a laugh with us on BBC606 sometimes, and some arguments too!
Check this out, he used some aliases, but U13979373 is definitely Godders.

He was really enjoying himself here.^_^

Godders come on mate, we know you don't hate all of us, do you?

meowth- good to see you being your reasonable self. BTW I thought my contributions on the Dickens Day thread were the best - just saying..!
(Got my old name back instead of Beaconsaint)

Well said Beddytare, the above reactions to our fellow football fans down the road was the very reason I chose not to sign up for the BBC 606 as it just got into a slanging match on every thread. I have lived in and around Portsmouth all my life and have neither had any problems with the Pompey fans, best friend is a Pompey fan and I can actually walk down my road in a Saints shirt , I have to take a bit of banter but nothing you wouldnt get from every other fan. To back this up I couldnt afford a season ticket this season due to impending redundancy , when it finally happen happend my leaving present from a Portsmouth based company was tickets to the final six home games of the season bought by a Pompey fan who drove to the stadium to get the tickets because as a fellow football fan they knew it was more important to see Saints get promoted rather than some poxy watch which was the standard leaving present. Good natured banter is it all should ever be with our fellow football fans from down the road and looking forward to two cracking derbies and hope they are both played in the right matter.

Priceless and each person involved in helping deserves our total respect not animosity.

I've just been looking at the music written on Westwoods belly. Those two bars are not Play up Pompey. In the key of C major it sounds like nothing I've ever heard. Mind you so does his singing at close quarters.
His tattoist should hang his head in shame.

Colin5164 skate is probably the most polite thing I will ever call you.

I wont say anymore as the moderator for this site doesn't like me to be unkind to people who support the wrong football club.

By the way how is the takeover going?

I have tried playing the music upside-down as that is what he would see looking down. It still doesn't sound like the chimes. Maybe the tattooist was a Geordie with a sense of humour, and the tune is big in Newcastle?

Now don't you feel good about yourself........Wasn't that quite pleasant.......<laugh>
Now the reality is your are intelligent enough to come back with banter that is both humorous but still has candour, without being insulting, easy isn't it.................

Beddytare you are meant to be a moderator not pretending to be my father when the truth is I am probably old enough to be yours!

With regards to degrees of pleasantness I would rank the above very low as to be nice to a Skate goes so very much against the grain.

Have you ever visited any of their websites and seen the nasty vitriol they write about us? Anything I have ever written about them is niceness personified by comparison.
