Midfielder Lee Frecklington has penned a two-and-a-half year deal with Rotherham United after agreeing an undisclosed fee with Peterborough United.

Frecklngton has spent much of this season on-loan with the Millers and helped them move into the automatic promotion places on New Years Day with a 2-1 win at Rochdale.

The former Lincoln City man made 95 appearances for Posh following a successful loan spell, scoring 10 goals in the process.

We would like to thank Lee for his service and wish him well in the future.

A bit of news on the Ba situation from NUFC.com

Friday should bring formal confirmation that Newcastle have completed deals to sell centre forward Demba Ba to Chelsea - and purchase full back Mathieu Debuchy from Lille.

Both players were at their new clubs to conclude agreement on personal terms and the formalities of a medical on Thursday - which in the case of Ba has been when proposed switches earlier in his career broke down.

None of the three clubs involved have yet posted formal confirmation of the transfers, but Lille head coach Rudi Garcia admitted in his press conference that Debuchy would soon be a Magpie - confirming that agreement between the clubs had now been reached.

Alan Pardew meanwhile told the official NUFC website that Debuchy (who watched Tuesday's home loss to Everton from the Milburn Stand) was:

"...going through the medical process now and hopefully that all goes to plan. He's not available for Saturday but hopefully for Norwich, yes."

As an aside, what would be the first return of Demba Ba to Tyneside in the Premier League with Chelsea is scheduled for Saturday February 2nd.

Seems it's all down to personal terms now.
