Wouldn't want to see Marv go, that would take away any improvement that Remy would make.

We're always taking a step forward and then take a step backwards. Doing well in the league, sell Carroll. Get into europa league, fail to replace Best, Guthrie and co. Fail to reinforce our squad when the whole world knows we need reinforcements at CB and FB.

    And what's next?
Sign Remy and lose Marveaux? wtf........

William Hill have the following odds on Ba's replacement:

Who will Newcastle sign in January:

    11/8 Loic Remy
    4/1 Nicolas Anelka
    4/1 Bony Wilfried
    5/1 Ben Yedder
    6/1 Wilfried Zaha
    6/1 Bafatembi Gomis
    7/1 Vedad Ibsevic
    7/1 Danny Welbeck
    9/1 Peter Odemwingie
    12/1 Rickie Lambert
    12/1 Peter Crouch

I think we'll see Remy, Bony or the kid from St Etienne personally. Our sort of signings. Say it quietly but I think it may be in the summer...............

People say Zaha or Ince are out of the question for us but you must remember sell on value. We might look at what has happened with the likes of Milner, Young, Downing previously and look at the profits made. That said I do think they'll sign for big clubs and maybe won't fancy the risk of heading back to the fizzy pop they are keen to leave.

Pardews comments about money being tight today are interesting. He says that in the one breath and then says the club appreciate where they are in the table and that they are fighting for their Prem status which makes it sound as though they will do the necessary in this window.

    Here's hoping

I agree with this - with HBA on the right and Cisse through the middle, it would be a pretty devastating attack! <ok>

Alright fellas? How good is Sammy Ameobi he looks decent when I see him long leggy but powerful as well needs to learn to take the ball with him when dribbling.

If he's up to it a front 3 of Hatem Ben Arfa (he's world class) Cisse and Sammy would be really really effective. With Obertan, (who I rate), Marvuex (sp) and Shola to come off the bench you'd have more than enough to tide you over until summer. It would also save funds for other areas for spending in either January or the summer. Oh and it was only fleetingly mentioned but you'd have more chance of signing Messi than Lambert <ok>. Best of luck for the season.

He's hardly going to say we have oodles of cash to chuck around when it's obvious we're in the market to buy, keeping his cards clode to his chest and playing the game.

    Sammy is ****e.
    Just joking....
But don't let Mike Ashley see what you wrote, or he'll scrimp and save up this window again and we'll go down.

Sammy is far far far from the finished article and is very raw. Admittedly he reminds me of Gareth Bale, but where Bale's development has been exponential, Sammy has that kind of potential but it needs to be tapped. He does have silky skills and is amazingly tall, but his biggest problem is that he is more of a headless chicken than Obertan(who, to his credit has looked very very good recently). Hope Sammy can eventually turn out good for us.
