They already read the boards, I got tweeted by the Press Officer this morning about the imaginary press conference, as soon as I put this thread up.
Hang on, so what happens if we DON'T get promoted??? Bruce has no funds in the summer????? Or a reduced transfer kitty??
That being the case, why not suggest they join the board and discuss things on here? Clearly we wouldn't be able to expect a decision from them as this board has no concensus amongst City fans, but frankly, the last FLC seemed overloaded with meaningless deadwood from what I could see. At least we'd feel more informed. If you're reading Mr Club person, here's a couple I'd like discussed. Goal music, as long as we all end up agreeing it'll never happen. Police. Get them out of the stadium. They do nothing but cost money, clutter up the exits and promote ill-will. The few times they were needed they caused more bother than they resolved. Get them out of the ground and dealing with proper crime. Phew, it'll do no good, it never does but it's off my chest so there it is.
He sounds a bit like Don Robby to me! He'll be riding round the KC on a white horse flinging goodies and Tiger Cola to the fans next!! Best humour him. He'll be gone in next to no time!!
Haha!! He once chucked a Tiger Cola into the South Stand and it exploded right at my mates feet. He also lobbed a 7" vinyl copy of "The Tigers Are Back" (whoah-oah) into the crowd and nearly took a blokes head off - Oddjob stylee. Oh, he was a card that Don.
It's a dangerous game joining a board like this in their position, you'd spend all your time batting away questions that you weren't allowed to answer, or suffering abuse if an unpopular decision is made. Though personally, I'd like to endorse both your suggestions, while also adding - getting some decent beer and pies at decent money and a facility for smokers, as that's the only way you'll get people to the ground earlier.
They could have a moveable stage either on the pitch or in one stand to let up and coming bands/acts perform in front of anyone that wanted to stay back after the final whistlle and watch them for free whilst enjoying a drink and some food.
We should do our own version of Soccer AM, broadcast to the stadium concourse and the big screen only. Ex players, music + games ect. Start at 1pm finish at 2.45 with all the build upto the game, team line up. Live performances of local bands as mentioned previously.
I see no way people would stay behind. As for getting there early, what OLM said, and as there is the park at our service, why not a fan park as suggested earlier? When we were in the Prem, thousands went to the ones Karoo did, with the 'recreate Deanos volley', music, food stalls, face painters, gift bags etc. Thats another way of getting higher attendances too as families would go and as long as reasonably priced it would even make money. Maybe introduce family tickets too fill the always empty south stand and re-open the north-east corner for home fans giving away ticket to football teams, education services etc. U21s for a quid, adults no more than £15 maybe. Maybe to fill up the NE corner, get a flag or something, or a shirt too pass around the crowd like we used to. Just some ideas that would make a better matchday for everyone. Also, NO to goal music.
Signed balls to be kicked into the crowd before KO by the players, like we used to at Boothferry. The return of "Tiger Cola" - kids would love it. There are loads of stuff that could be done - the club only has to listen to real supporters.
Living upto your name as always then. What utter brown stuff. Huddersfield dont have £1.5m to spend anyway. They cannot even afford to pay Beckford much more than £15k a week. Better luck next time with your wumming. I would guess that Steve Bruce is away meeting a player or 2.!!!! TWT. Burnsy can wait. Lol.
Pay 10 stewards an extra £10 quid each to perform traffic control duties on Walton Street car park after matches. It's a complete cluster **** these days. They're happy enough to stand around pre-match and take your fiver, but nowhere to be seen after the game. It's the single worst part of match-day if you happen to use Walton Street car park.
