harry kane cost £300k for the season in loan fees, plus wages (which are minimal) <ok>

not sure where you got your figure from but mine is spot on.

Right, you're including loan fee as well as his wages, makes sense <ok>
i wonder if he was a panic buy from Chris at the time. the timing of his injury is unfortunate; now he is back we are in the position were we need someone with more experience maybe with holt and morrison out.
not saying we are going to, i wonder if we have the option of sending him back to Spurs, a bit like de laet, or if it's a season long with no option to cancel.

don't know what wages kane earns but it won't be much - kyle naughton was on around £7k a week whilst playing for us, and he had a lot more experience than kane when he joined. i'd guess we are paying kane about £4k a week max. hardly chicken feed but nothing too extravagant.

Holloway has denied any butterfield link which might mean he is staying to challenge Wes which would be good. Though he will have his work cut out as Wes has be our best player this season (closely followed by Tettey, Ruddy and Bassong). Be nice to see him play v P'Borough and see what he can do.

Sounds like Austin will be off to Everton. They have NO money. Surely we could have had a go for him?

burnley want £8m+ for him. would be a massive gamble in my opinion. having watched him i really don't think he'd be much use to us. yes he knows where the back of the net is but that is really all he does. he wouldn't be able to link the play at all. hooper could. graham could. both are better targets if we are going down the british route.

Austin was plain Gash when I saw him a few weeks ago! He must be gash because he didn't get a sniff against us and our Tommy had to take him out of his pocket at full time! <ok> <laugh>

Fair enough but surely Everton cant afford £8m then! Especially for a player who by all accounts is JUST a goal scorer and brings nothing else to a side. Doesnt strike me as the type of player Moyes would go for?

Agree though, I would rather go for Graham or Hooper. Then again, I think Id also rather go for pace i.e. Mulenga/Toure.

IF Everton sell Leighton Baines to Manure then £8 Million would be a drop in the ocean!

True. That James Nursey fella just tweeted that Swansea have said Graham can leave this month if they get the right bid...cue a £3-5m bid from us?

You could do a lot worse! Danny Graham would be a terrific signing for you lot... A damn site better than Morison.

Exactly and I reckon we could still recoup at least half the £3m we paid for Morison from some Championship side?

celtic have laughed off suggestions that hooper is going to norwich. can't say i'm surprised! i do think there is something more substantial in the graham rumours though...

In saying that though Superman, you have to think, there was SOME reason for Hughton being at Celtic last nigh? He must have been watching someone? Perhaps the midfielder? Forget his name

Im suprised McNally hasnt done his usuall replies to the speculation. Seems strange that celtic have laughed it off yet, there's no comment from our end and silence from McNally....
