No presser, but our new MD is on air at 2.30(insert your own Chinese dentist joke here)... Hull City Official ‏@hullcityteam Our new Managing Director, Nick Thompson, will be live on BBC Radio Humberside this afternoon. He'll be on from around 2.30pm #hcafc
Wouldnt surprise me if something happened with Meyler. Things have just been not quite right throughout December with the recall etc. His alleged first twitter when he said something like he has only come here to get fit just put me in doubt. Hopefully we shall see . I am wrong. Whilst the FA Cup gives some of the players a break it also seems to take some of the urgency out of getting deals struck.
There was never a press conference, they usually do but cause of the busy christmas period they've been given the day off so nobody is at the training ground to do the press conference.
I don't think there was anything odd with the Meyler recall, I think the only reason he didn't go back when they did recall him(and the reason the recall was subsequently withdrawn), was because we said we'd buy him.
Just a point, if all football management and players have a few extra days off (much deserved and welcome I expect ahead of a game most of us wouldnt mind losing) im guessing we'll get no word on new signings or outgoings today.
surely Steve Bruce's playing days are over now? I think we should be looking to see if Simon Grayson lasts much longer as Manager before we worry about them 'snatching' anyone!
as i said to you last night, i was never fooled into thinking it would amazing or even true, but i was curious as to who they would name just for curiosity's sake.
Nick Thompson says he wants to try and encourage fans to arrive earlier for games and spend more time at the KC(presumably he's looking at the prices and quality of the stuff on offer in the ground and he'll have to look at some sort of smoking facility) and he's going to bring in some other things to try and fill the KC every game. He also says there's been no approach for Aaron Mclean(which makes Brucey's comments seem a little odd).
Hope i am wrong but I have an uneasy feeling. I suppose I am comparing Stockdale's recall out of the blue with immediate effect with the will he wont he Meyler one which went on for 3 weeks.
