After all the predictions of Armageddon by the MSM it emerges that due to Celtics unprecedented performance in the CL by any Scottish club each of the SPL clubs will be rewarded with at least £215K form UEFA. This represents much more cash than the clubs would have received had SEVCO been shoehorned into the SPL.

Well done Celtic... Remember that we may well not be finished yet.

A few more years like this and the SPL clubs will be hoping SEVCO don't make the SPL.

Happy New Year to you too Russ. I think the confusion has arisen because the OP has not really quantified what he means is unprecedented. Is it Celtic winning away games in the CL? It can't be reaching the last 16 as both Rangers and Celtic have done this before. Nor can it be beating Barcelona as other Scottish teams have done this before too. Achieving their highest points total in the qualifying group?

A very decent achievement all the same. A word of caution though most saviours are not normally self-proclaimed and remember Italians have a bit of a track record for crucifying them.

So that's why attendances have fallen this season it's only the good looking ones who turn up at games?

Anybody read Bill Mcmurdo blog this morning ??? Rangers are the engine Scottish football runs on !! The only way Scottish football to survive is for the the clubs to admit they were wrong and welcome rangers fans back as VIP guests . How much drink has this idiot had over the festive period ?

As you know Moses I'm a pedantic sort so I'm going for the fact that Celtic were seeded 4th in the group and still qualified, I don't think any Scottish team has done that before, it might even be a World Record. <whistle>
