    We never win at Old Trafford, either.

    Looking at our league games for the rest of the month they're all winnable and losable on paper. You can't help but have a bad feeling about the United game though. Fergie won't take any chances after losing to us at OT and it'll almost certainly be one of his henchmen in charge.

    I don't see QPR away as an easy game either, 'Arry knows nearly everyone of our players well and on a small pitch I can see us being frustrated, we're fairly relentless in creating half chances against teams who've sat back at us lately but it only takes a bit of luck and we won't score(like Stoke). I think Norwich away is the best chance we have of 3 points but even they can cause us problems. Our February and even March are better though, if we're chasing them going into April I can't see us finishing above them and therefore not in the top 4.

  3. Was browsing the Gooner board last night, and I was surprised to see that there were very few postings.

    That's rather strange. Those lads always seem so chirpy when things are going their way.

    Are you trying to suggest that it's all gone quiet over there, HIAG?

  8. Funnily enough, and despite my recent "clown" attack on AVB, I don't believe he will be as weak as Redknapp, in the final half of our season. I think he showed with Porto that he gets stronger with time, and that he has the mentality to take a successful season to its conclusion. Plus, I believe, despite what he says publicly, that he is driven to finish above Chelsea, to show the mad-dog Russian that he was right in appointing him (at great expense) and wrong to sack him in such humiliating fashion. It's that drive for revenge that will push us over the finishing line, I believe. We didn't have that, last season.

    Try telling that to HAIG <laugh>

    His infamous quotes make for a good laugh when they all came back to bite him in the arse. But at least he had the insight to recognise that he was talking ****e in the end

    <laugh>

    Keep em coming HAIG . . .

    Bloody typical that Harry learns how to win at Stamford Bridge about two years too late...

  18. Yes, it was a shock result, tonight, for the Chavs. That has got to hurt. Benitez was all blotchy-faced, like he used to be, in his final days at 'Pool.

    That result will give our Gooner friends hope that they might be able to catch them and perhaps even finish above them. They'll have to address their usual end-of-season bottle-job pretty fast, though, otherwise they'll be swapping places with 'Pool.

    Don't tell me you think Pool might have a chance of top 4? A Pauline conversion!

    Actually, it isn't the case anymore. Somebody else has claimed that mantle. Last season we were staring at a 13 pt gap against a team who were beating us O-2 at home. We then went on to spank them 5-2 and in the process it acted as the catalyst for one of the most monumental end of season bottle-jobs ever seen <laugh>
